Installation:
Place .pk4 file in \Doom 3\base
Note: Doom 3 loads games in alhpabetical order, if this mod doesn't load for you it is likely that something is overwriting it. Try adding more of the letter "z" to the start of the file name until it is loaded last in the load order.
Works with Vanilla, but intended as a fix for a Dhewm 3 port issue.
Dhewm 3 has some strange handling of audio where firing a shotgun near a wall will cause the 20 or so impact sounds to completely overpower the sound of the gun. This results in the player not being able to hear their own gun and instead hearing a frankly annoying sound effect of metal-on-metal bullet/pellet impacts.
This mod reduces the volume of various impact sound effects by 18dB.
