Is this a Classic Edition mod only, or is it supposed to work with the Definitive Edition also? At least currently it is not working for me. The primary reason is because there are no video files in the folder path that it pastes to - the folder structure for my install ends at the "Divinity - Original Sin 2\Data\Localization" folder and goes no further - ie: there is no "Data\Localization\English\Video\Splash_Logo_Larian.bk2" originally existing, to replace.
Just kidding, here's the solution - the mod isn't (apparently) specific to the version (Definitive vs. Classic), but the game's installed folder structure IS. So, you need to make sure you paste into the Data folder of the actual version you want to use. For Classic, I believe the file paths in the Mod description will work, but for Definitive you need to use this (as the root) path instead "Divinity - Original Sin 2\DefEd\Data". Then it will work.
Bearing in mind this is a GoG based install, Steam or whatever may vary, but the general idea is probably the same. Incidentally, changing that same root in your desktop shortcuts or whatnot will also skip the Launcher as well (assuming you just want to play Definitive Edition, always).
The intro video doesn't use the "no sound while alt-tabbed" feature so whenever I open the game doing something else the noise it makes can be very distracting. It's a useful change for me.
Requiring an action vs no action required - Lazy wins out every time.
I've restarted DOS2 so many times from testing mods that those few seconds have really added up at this point. Plus, I can launch DOS2 and alt+tab to do something else while it loads, because it starts loading immediately due to the splash intro being skipped.
