You have no moral highground if you follow this book
Deuteronomy 21:10-25:19 New International Version
Marrying a Captive Woman 10 When you go to war against your enemies and the Lord your God delivers them into your hands and you take captives, 11 if you notice among the captives a beautiful woman and are attracted to her, you may take her as your wife.
small flaccid prude mindset : I will get the hero trait and I will try to save everyone! I can finally fix everything and help those in need! gigachad warrior grindset: xp is xp.
But everyone knows this encourages child serial killers. Just like enabling you to kill people in games enables amok runs, or pokemon gathering enables demon worship. True fax. What we really need is a mod that makes every NPC unkillable to encourage peace and diplomacy and solve violent crime forever.
Installed this, of course. Don't think it'll ever make a difference, but it's a matter of principle.
Much appreciated. I too am annoyed by how you aren't allowed to do certain things because "muh ethics, muh censorship" when its an RPG, a Role-Playing Game!
You're welcome! Also, thanks for your work, this mod really brings realism to Rivellon. In family-friendly games, this 'Invincible child syndrome' seems logical, but DOS2 includes cannibalism and sexual relationships with skeletons, so I don't know why we couldn't kill children or witness their death.
Some countries have strict censorship against killing children in video games, which is probably why Larian made them invincible, so as to not raise age ratings too high or get their game banned altogether. However, I think they were too overprotective of child NPCs. Not only are the children invulnerable, but quite a few have scripted sequences to escape and an evil NPC even scolds you for attacking his child disguise. (like WTF? attacking a single child that is clearly a disguise is 10x worse than slaughtering innocents and the whole company of Seekers?)
