You can convert most mods easily with this guide: https://www.reddit.com/r/DivinityOriginalSin/comments/9c3tg7/how_to_upgrade_classic_mods_to_the_definitive/e59klx6/
I just did that and it's working in my game, Lohse flesh sacrifice necro ftw!
I don't wanna upload it to avoid "claiming" authorship since I didn't ask for permission, but thought I'd let you know.

I find those instructions to be very convoluted, unclear & hard to understand, especially in their descriptions of what the path names are supposed to be.

Is that tool the one that the devs are supposed to have made? Or is that a third party tool?

Is there any simpler way to accomplish the same thing that the tool is supposed to do?

Rip pretty sure this is a late answer but just in case anyone comes wondering in the future, the devs are releasing a whole modding program like the one for normal DOS2 but for DE, but they're taking their sweet sweet time. Besides the few people that have closed beta access to the program, people who were impatient had to use this tool and the devs said it MAY cause unknown bugs and advised us to not use it, nothing of that sort yet for me.
Sadly I don't think there is a an easier method.

Since the author isn't responding, for people coming in the future here is the file I made:
      https://puu.sh/BDlNB/309c4b2bd1.pak
Make sure you put the file in "...\Documents\Larian Studios\Divinity Original Sin 2 Definitive Edition\Mods" and don't forget to enable it in the main menu!

      Good luck!

Any plans to port this for the DE? If not, may I go ahead and convert it and upload it to the nexus for the DE?

Appreciate the remake. Have you considered doing this for other once popular outdated mods? I've been hoping for a replacement on the "No Psychic Enemies" mod.

Well this was definitely a very easy remake - they're existing skills, they just need skillbooks linked to them and those skillbooks added to the game. What's the problem with the psychic enemies mod? I'm guessing it would be more complex to remake, because it might involve manually editing every enemy in the game to set their loremaster skill to certain levels.

Larian put out a patch and the mod stopped working. The author has been silent for a few months. Check out the steam page. Understandable if it's too much to do though. That does sound like quite the undertaking.

I think I could do a simpler version of the mod, which wouldn't involve manually editing every enemy. I'll keep it in mind. I'm busy for a week and I'll be back to modding next week. There's something I'm already working on but I could do this next.

Thanks for the consideration. Happy modding, whatever you decide to do.
