Sorry for the late reply messiah but yeah, I used this method here. It worked for rendal NPC armor mod but not for vanity sadly. It apparently works for a lot of other mods too but I haven't tried on any other ones.
Also HOLY s*** tsukityou you are a f***ing legend! It actually works! I don't know how you did it but I will now dedicate a shrine to worship you for the rest of my life. Bless you.
Thanks a lot. I had tried to make it work with the method explained in reddit but it kept not working. You're my hero now! Have a Kudos and please consider posting this on the DE nexus with a note pointing to the original mod (this one).
Sadly this mod only partially works. When it comes to weapons, it copies the model, but not the right color scheme. So it's not as useful as it could be. :(
NVM. Eventually I realized that I don't need to unpack it, that what looks like a compression extension representing a file that needs to be unpacked to be used is actually a functional file type.
For those of you who are interested in the Expert version for DE, I managed to re-create the mod from scratch using the codes for the base Vanity mod and the Expert add-on. All credits go to the original mod author, of course. All I did was copy the original codes into a new project, do some edits here and there and created a package.
Since a lot of you are sharing the DE-compatible version of the base mod without repercussions, I'd assume that the original mod author is no longer actively working on the mod and does not mind us sharing DE-compatible versions as long as we give the original author due credit. If not, then I sincerely apologize.
Hey would you mind putting your expertise to use for me? lol... I use the Crafting Overhaul mod and would love to be able to use the 'Expert Version' of the vanity mod. Could you possibly convert it over to DE? I just tried but it is causing me to crash for some reason.
Morphovanish turned the Source collar into a Cheap Amulet, which wasn't recognized by Leya when she attempted to remove the collar from my character. Now, the game assumes that I've got the collar removed, but I'm still wearing it.
there is a solution to that. it is a bit hard to figure out with the documentation given but i can unequip my collar now. source -> https://www.reddit.com/r/DivinityOriginalSin/comments/74f5lk/how_to_edit_your_characters_in_your_save_file_a/ screenshot with not unequippable amulet https://prnt.sc/iwicss screenshot with unequippable amulet https://prnt.sc/iwidqu globals.lsx file search https://prnt.sc/iwigj8 search for these values and change the True ones to False
Thank you so much for your instructions, without it I would have to restart the game, wasting 38h of gameplay. Took me half an hour to make it work. Thanks again. If anyone encounters this problem, follow this man's steps and you should be good to go.
FYI I tried converting the Expert Mode .pak to DE using the instructions found here: (https://www.reddit.com/r/DivinityOriginalSin/comments/9c3tg7/how_to_upgrade_classic_mods_to_the_definitive/).
It did create a mod that appears in the list of mods and that isn't red.
However, when I tried to load a game it rejected the mod and loaded the game with the mods the save game had installed. The same message appeared when I tried to start a new game in another profile (presumably resulting in a game with no mods active, but I couldn't be bothered to find out as it seems moot).
Same here. Looks like the Expert Mode and DE don't quite agree. I'd honestly be happy to just have the Morphovanish attached to the original ring, without anything else (expanded functionality or spells being auto-added to characters).

You should upload it to the Nexus so that more people can find it.
