Would it be possible to make shocked, wet and chilled not disappear if they fail to turn into stunned and frozen due to magic armor?
Stunned, if blocked by magic armor, applies shocked. Frozen, if blocked by magic armor, applies chilled. That would fix it.

I don't know. I didn't make these mods — just combined them. the only changes on my part are in the description (Fixed Incarnate and Summoning Ability Bonus).

I'm glad that you made a fix, although it seems to me that this should have been done by the author of the mod. I'm surprised why you decided to combine these two mods, because they do not conflict with each other?

they do conflict, especially the '100 starting Vitality' – it has a bunch of parameters that would override the useful parts of 'Better Balancing'. it wasn't difficult to combine them, just slightly bothersome.

as for the Incarnate fix, I wanted to play the game, and I didn't want to wait for nFmous. it could take him another month to fix it. I made this combination for myself, and just figured that I can save others some hassle by uploading the package that's ready-to-use.

Now everything is clear, No Scaling 100 vitality, I've never seen what in this version under the hood, but it's made not quite right in both mods. You do not need to use the entire Data file (this applies to the original), instead you need to take only those values that you want to change. Since this is one of the "main" configuration files, this will help to avoid a lot of conflicts with other mods. Sorry I'm boring you, but it's true

the problem is that, while I can isolate the changes made in Baardvark's mod, I can't do the same with 'Better Balancing'. there's just too much stuff in it, and a lot of it is not even mentioned in the description. if I had slightly more experience with the game's system, and access to vanilla files, then I could possibly do this in a 'clean' way. right now it made more sense to just manually copy the entries, one by one, paying attention to the values. since 'Better Balancing' is, more or less, a fundamental overhaul, it could be used as a base for future modding – which is what I did here, essentially.
