I'm sorry but I don't see the point of this mod. There are 3 difficulties in the game (4 with Honour mode) and that should be enough. The Tactician mode is supposed to be a challenge and if you just water it down, it defeats the purpose in my opinion.

A less agressive response, tactician mode adds additional move sets to all enemies adding a challenge all of its own. In fact i'de be happy with a 5th difficulty that has the same HP/Damage stats as classic mode but with all the extra enemy AI behaviors of tactician. Adds more enjoyment to fights without forcing you to be picky about your character as much.

I'm sorry but I see the stupidity of your opinion. The game allows for MUCH more than mere "3 difficulties" depending on your willingness to cheese the game. Ie. by robbing everyone blind and having top gear at any given moment, you LOWER the difficulty SIGNIFICANTLY as this game is gear dependent especially for physical damage teams. The same has been true for choosing Lone Wolf duos, your willingness to spend time on crafting tedium and concentrating damage type for your party. But the most obvious thing is of course that this offers those who want a middle ground (the step up from classic to tactician is significant). And you signed up for this "insight"? Jeeesh!

I know this is an old thread but if you don't like a mod maybe just don't use the mod. I'm using it because a friend and I were finding classic too easy, so switched to tactician and found that a little too hard. This is a good middle ground between the two. You get the smarter AI but the stats aren't so punishing. I'm struggling to see why you'd even care if someone "Waters down" the game? No-one is asking you to play it?

    Hi !
Is it compatible with your "Reduced Number Bloat" mod ?

and if yes, is there an order I should put them in the mod list ?

Good stuff. Would also be cool to see a variant that removed the armor and HP buff in tactician completely (so just skills / tactics ala DOS 1).

Pretty sure HP and other stats were increased in Tactician mode in D:OS1. I don't think a small boost is too bad, but 50% just seems over the top on the face of it (although I'll give it a try anyway).

Second this. I want the new skills and probably AI, but ganging up on one dog for 2 turns(even with your mod +20%) is boring. If you could remove the health and shields increase that would be great!

Agreed, I personally wouldn't mind just a damage and AI improvement, but armor and hp have to go.

Agreed, HP + Armour buffs should go, but keep everything else.

Agreed, that would be the way to go.

Does this means in tactician the enemies still retain the 50% health boost and 5 initiative? Because from your description you only state that reduction of armor and damage

So I tried to uninstall and all of the enemies now only have partially filled health bars, like the total health pool got reset to normal but they only start with the reduced amount. I uninstalled the mod, deleted it, and restarted. I've played through a bunch of areas and loaded different smaller interior areas. no dice. Any suggestions?

My best guess is that it will change once you enter a new overworld, for example the transition from Fort Joy to Driftwood area but i don't know for sure.

Hey man, love your mods. Just curious if you're still going to release the easier/harder classic mode? Will it be compatible with existing saves? Thanks for all your work thus far

Sir I will pay you for a harder classic mode (all enemies gain +20% to damage and health).

This is because I do want a harder game, but tactical mode adds too many things (extra AP for enemies, supposedly different initiative system, free multiple skills for enemies etc etc)
I think a harder classic mode would be the ideal way to go

I will release an easier and harder classic mode version tomorrow. I do have a donate button on my bard mod page
