I disabled the mod accidentally and though I turned it on again, the skill is unusable (I meet the requirements but the bar icon is disabled and the skill doesn't show up in the skillbook).

I guess it's like if I had forgotten the skill right? Anyway I thought of crafting the skillbook so maybe I can learn it again. And I see it in the crafting book but it says it takes Demon Altar, a blank Necromancy skillbook and 3 resurrection scrolls.

I'm confused. Is this conflicting with the skillbook recipe from Crafting Overhaul mod? Or else how do I combine the 2 Hydrosophist skillbooks to make one?

    Thanks.

I hope this game gets some more mods where you can resurrect NPCs like zharah that aren't allies and have them follow you through out the whole game to the very end. Also do more stuff with your NPCS "The enemy of my enemy is my friend" :)

It's already there. There's also a treasuretable that allows it to be purchased at skill vendors. Hope this helps.

Wouldn't it make far more sense for this to be a high level Necromancy skill?

Resurrection, in generally, is not Necromancy though. You're confusing Reanimation with Resurrection. Necromancy, in the general sense, would only make the body move - generally without its one's own will to control the body. Resurrection would be the returning of life, with the will and senses for the one being returned to life to control their own body.

There's a key difference between the two, and its whether or not one can control one's self after returning to life. Water, in Divinity, being a symbol of healing, is the closest thing to a divine magic. Truthfully, Resurrection should probably be a special attack - like that of Shields Up or Staff of Magus; but that doesn't exactly give you limitations like having a required skill level. Due to it not forcing your body to submit to the control of the healer when resurrecting, the closest thing would be Hydrosophist.

Though it depends on which way you're looking at it, cause fire can also represent life and renewal, like for example the warmth of life compared to the cold of death's grip, so you could also have a pyro spell that revives your character and gives them a buff of I don't know, strength or constitution, and even a "burn on contact" or "blinding" temporary ability. After all the concept of a paladin is a lot of the times tied to light - and fire IS light, right? Now for necromancy, in the Divinity universe you got the Hall of Echoes where the dead go, and the world's energy is Source (all is source more or less), so if you follow the logic here of "everything is one", a revival spell could also be "necromantic" of sorts, it's just about certain factors really if you wanna make the distinction between "evil" or "good" magic : is there a form of sacrifice, is the soul tortured in the process and ripped from the realm of the dead and forced to come back in the body after it started decaying enough so as to create great pain either physical or mental to the revived OR is the body healed in the process of revival and the dead was maybe in a transitory state where he didn't yet join the realm of the dead and or didn't yet identify himself/herself as someone who's dead, that is enough so as to feel disturbed if brought back to the realm of the living. It really is about which spells you choose and not the "element" associated with it, cause you might say for example that frost is to be associated with death and so if you would create a Death Knight type character you would pick some spells from hydrosophist and some of necromancy. When it comes down to it for games like Divinity it's not really about lore or categories but more like it's how you can preserve the theme of your MC/companion based on the aesthetics of the spells, their school and the number of points you have so as to still have a working build and even better a build that can complement the skills of at least one of your companions. Like in my game for example, still in the topic of resurrection : My main which is a paladin fire/warfare(except the skills with an electric effect)/aerothurge(for the skill "blinding radiance" )/hydrosophist(for the healing spells and resurrection one from this mod)/necromancer(the shackles one, "death wish" which goes perfectly well with the "guardian angel" one from warfare and also "living on the edge" ) is the "good guy" type; all the while I also have a witch/sorceress which theme is centered around insects, blood and decay (Sebille, kind of "Morrigan" in Dragon Age type character) which have also a resurrect skill from another mod that sacrifices 80-100% of her health in the process but yet the theme of the witch is still there : she's the black magic psychopathic animal and my main is the jolly golly jester paladin who has a more of a "positive" take on life. Lol sorry for that brick of a comment.

Could we please have the option of using either Life Essence or High Quality Life Essence? Also would be nice to be able to use either a Restoration skillbook or a Blank Hydrophist skillbook for the recipe.

Would be nice to have the recipe in the recipes tab as well.

Updated the mod to fix an issue of the spell being unusable on hirelings, and changed the crafting requirements to make the items easier to locate.

Wish it was somewhere in fort joy, why would it be on the ship when its such a high level requirement you cant even use it anyway? Plus Ive already started my game. Great that its craftable I guess, though wish I could just buy it from the water skill merchant.

Also... it just occured to me Resurrection scrolls are all yellow. Wouldnt this be an earth skill not a water skill?

I have added an additional file that will allow you to purchase it from vendors. Specifically Rezik in Fort Joy now offers it, and theoretically late game vendors as well but I am currently unable to check any because I am working towards leaving Fort Joy myself.

The game files lists the enemy version as a water spell in the editor, and since water has several healing spells I figured it was a good fit.
