New DE versions are here! I am not too sure if they have brought new bugs or not, if you find any please let me know. Also for those who want it, i updated Lucky breaks and Auspicious Beginnings and put them in my misc files. once again they may have bugs, but tbh that will be Mwulfs problem since i don't want to take his mod away from him. Mwulf, if you read this, message me on steam "[BC] Ere376" or on discord "Ere376#5753" and I will remove my versions.
As to @nedstarkisawesome It sets the soft level cap to 100, so yes?
and @Silversfox your words flatter me! and it isnt too complicated, i linked a tool in my mods desc "norbytes unpacker tool" you can use it to unpak my mod, then you can locate the "data.txt" file and edit it to what you want, then use "norbytes unpacker tool" to repak and put it into your mods folder.
Main Character doesn't get starting bonuses for combat or civil abilities (only 2) and 1 talent but picked up party members do have the +4 and 2 talents even when gotten at lvl 1. Attributes are normal.
Personally love this mod ever since I found it and I've been using it for my For Honor playthrough. I have to ask is there a way to edit it to give 4 attribute points per level up instead of 3?
Or if possible could you do a quick step by step guide on what you did to make the mod for those interested in modifying it? Either way thanks for making such an awesome mod :D
Just updated to contain a few versions, with varying degrees of "balance" for civil abilities, if you pick the default one (10) i'm 100% confident things wont break late game when it comes to civil abilities. 20 and 30 are a little risky tho, i haven't really tested any of these options, so let me know how they work ps. I may be a bit rusty and if the downloads don't work, let me know. its best to reach me in my discord https://discord.gg/5YUSX8H but i will sometimes reply on steam "[BC] Ere376"
Pickpocketing issue seems to be caused by raising the Civil Ability Cap to 100. Changing the following line:
key "CivilAbilityCap", "100"
to 5 instead of 100 (or probably just deleting that line) seems to fix the outlandish thievery requirements to pickpocket NPCs. At least, I tested this on gid2525's mod. I'm assuming yours contains the same line.
yeah i have been meaning to lower it, and make several versions for people to choose how broken they want their CivilAbilityCap to be haha, but my friends lost interest in DOS2 and so i forgot this was even here.
Gid2525's mod doesn't seem to work anymore. It's been a very long time since anyone has updated any of their mods. What is the deal with that anyways? Is this site become a dead mod site or something? I mean these mods were made just shortly after this game came out like 4 months ago and within a month or so everyone seems to have vanished leaving all these broken mods for us to deal with.
Anyways, if any modders read this, please help me out and fix some of these mods. I just bought this game, it's still pretty new and I really want to use some mods. PM me. I love this game.
yeah i just played this game 24/7 for like a month straight till the point my friends lost interest and i kinda ran out of people to play this game with. I'm currently going to look into updating my mod here, mainly gonna adjust a few things, make 2-3 versions with different levels for "CivilAbilityCap" since civil abilities seem to be the most broken the higher they/their caps are. also most DOS2 mods are not too hard to look into and fix, in-fact this mod itself was made as a "fixed" version to a mod that i just tinkered and looked into. my only sort of "coding" experience is running a ttt gmod server for like 2 years, which runs lua, completely different to how modding (from what i have seen) for this game is, and i picked it up over night to make this mod
Ya mod is broken but only for certain attributes/skills. Example, Pickpocket over a certain point is too causes goldvalue that can be stolen to go way past its limit and ends up being outside of range of number that it can store and becomes 0. edit the pak and set key "PickpocketGoldValuePerPoint","1" allows max lvl to be 45 which should be more than enough.
The pick pocketing is still impossible, I you can't get any other skills up if you only focus on that one civil skill which is meh, will that be somehow fixed, it's a really good mod, but I just can't not have pick pocketing.
