NOTICE: Version 1.0 of this mod was broken and taken down. I compressed it to pak format using the Steam Workshop publisher, which failed to add all the files >: (

Version 1.1 I compressed manually, as well as included the uncompressed version, so it should work without issue. Sorry for the inconvenience to anyone that downloaded version 1.0

I know this is an old mod, but any chance to get it updated for the Enhanced Edition?

If someone is still interested I made a similar mod from scratch and included cloth helmets: http://www.nexusmods.com/divinityoriginalsinenhancededition/mods/1/?

Could you by any chance make black dye = oil barrel + bucket instead? Even if it uses up the whole barrel, they're still a lot more common than empty cups.
    They're kinda hard to find.

I just wanted to confirm that this mod is not working for v1.0.252.0 of Divinity with existing saves. I haven't bothered trying it on a new save. Since all of the other mods I have can simply be extracted into the Data folder, I tried that with this mod. I extracted the Stats folder to Divinity - Original Sin/Data/Public/Main/.

Unfortunately this did not work either. The recipe works in game as far as combining the items. Drag a bucket and bonedust together and the dialog to create White Dye pops up, which it will then combine if you tell it to. Makes the animation and sound, but produces no item, nor does it consume either of the combination items.

I saw the same behavior in regards to dying non-cloth helmets, but the dye wasn't consumed and the helmet did not change. I also wasn't able to dye anything else with this mod's files in my Divinity folder. All in all, I think it is safe to say this one is busted for good gentlemen.

Well I got it to work on a new save but not exsisting saves, I would love to hear any solutions to get it to work on exsisting saves without having to just restart my game if I want to get this mod working.

Did not work for me. Is it because Dyes are added in game already? I really wanted Dyable helms

Mod doesn't seem to work on existing saves. Can't be bothered to play through the game far enough to see if it works on a new game.

I've been trying everything to get this mod to work, but the problem is, it's not generating any .lsb file of any kind. The only one that is there is the savegame .lsv file. If anyone can tell me what might be going on with it, please lemme know. I'd like to take this mod for a spin. That said, it doesn't seem like any mod at all is working no matter what I do. Yes, I've activated them, yes I've tried activating only one, yes, I've put the mods in the proper folders...I'm just ready to say "fuckit."

You don't need to make saves compatible anymore. It works on saves as well as new games, at least according to the newest patch.

    Nice work but I'd like to add a suggestion;

The black dye is too dark, which makes the textures all flat and it doesn't reflect light well at all. You should set it to R-G-B 25-25-25 or 30-30-30 rather than 0-0-0.

    Thanks

EDIT: It seems the dyes are actually already in the game and that those color choices are out of the mod authors control. Sorry for the confusion.

On another note, it seems that you can remove dye completely by using the item editor in MooseEdit (save editor).

Now we just need to be able to dye cloth helmets. Mages get kinda jacked on that.

Agreed! I hope the author adds the ability to dye cloth helmets soon.
