  1. I've managed to edit the skills but for some reason, whenever i open up the skills, physical and motorics skill images are replaced by logic and it crashes my game, but Intellect and Psyche image replacements work.

Do you know how to solve this?

If you're taking mod requests, thoughts on doing a mod that replaces the skill portraits with the unused/scrapped updated portraits that were meant for the Final Cut? There currently isn't a mod that does *only* that without additional things or using heavily edited versions

I'm essentially asking for this mod Unofficial Implementation of Final Cut Portraits at Disco Elysium Nexus - Mods and community but as a regular asset file replacer instead of requiring an old modding tool that is no longer available
(and if it wouldn't be too much trouble, maybe an optional download that includes the slightly edited Authority-Suggestion portraits)

No requests unless it's very quick and/or looks really funny and I want to use it, without the old modding tool replacing 24 files is tedious. I also probably won't be looking here too much, just logged in since I found the black jacket portrait sprite. Uploaded instructions on how to make asset replacement mods on the main page of this mod.

The file you'd be looking for with replacing portraits would be
      [INSTALL FOLDER]\Disco Elysium\disco_Data\StreamingAssets\aa\StandaloneWindows64\portraits_assets_all_20cb6ebb4142293ab462ee211f2e2afc.bundle

Any chance you could make a new PS4 prompt mod as well? I have the files with the prompts and can upload them.

Thank you so much. Here they are: main file and alternate file with square-triangle swapped. If you're so inclined, you could also do an Xbox version with X and Y swapped. It's in order to have menu on the top face button with the right prompts. They were created by hullabalugawhale, so just give him credit.

Since you have the original asset files and not just images it's actually pretty easy to do, mostly was thinking of doing it while looking for black jacket Kim if you just had images. Was going to do it but probably more helpful learn to fish, with my notes from days of googling how to f*#@ with unity games.

      Modding Process:
      - Viewing original files (there are probably better ways but what I used)
        - Use AssetRipper_win_x64 (https://github.com/AssetRipper/AssetRipper)
        - Can either view the files with View Loaded Files or Export > Export All Files
        - Export All Files is useful since any file browser is more flexible than the site's.

      - Modifying files
        - Use AssetBundleExtractor (https://github.com/SeriousCache/UABE/releases/)
        - Open the original asset file with File > Open
        - Find desired asset in the list
        - Plugins > Edit > Load Texture Button
        - Once all textures are done export the files
        - Option 1) File > Mod Maker > Create standalone .exe
        - Option 2) File > Mod Maker > Create package file
        - Option 3) File > Apply and Save all (Save modified files to put back in later if editing more)

Now go, do as your heart desires. Become a modder.

Thank you for the encouragement, but do you think you can do it instead, if it's easy for you? I might have to learn to unpack Unreal engine games to edit DefaultInput.ini and/or to lock prompts to one type in the future, so that will be enough for me. I'm sure I can follow your instructions, but I still am ready to accept help here.

Besides my generous spirit towards helping others learn I'll admit my motivation waned while looking at the files. This is because the buttons are split into individual files instead of one large sprite sheet. It will be easy, but it will also be very tedious. Happy to answer any questions if you decide to do it but my own motivation has shriveled away.

Ok, I see. If you ever find the motivation in the future when you have the time, I'm sure many DE players will be grateful. The PS4 prompts are also colored, unlike the game's standard prompts.
