Please upload to nexus as a 'temporary hotfix-update' for _ mod (on hiatus) [link],, for acessability and safety, many are rightfully reluctant to download from offsite, also i woudnt want this link to go dead and cannot be gotten by others, also others are not allowed to copy this to nexus only you can, also what if your not around and someone else needs to hotfix-update this one too? OH and dont forget to put the link to that hotfix mod as a new comment on here.
I've stickied this post. You also have my permission to upload your fixed version to nexus and I'll sticky that instead. It's unlikely I'll ever get back to working on this. I'm starting graduate school soon and haven't played Dinkum in a long time.
Same for me. Before the update this mod worked brilliantly for me and I really liked it, since the author clearly indicated this was already on hiatus I am not expecting a fix for this now that the game has updated, but I am really disappointed to have to remove this. I hope the mod gets revisited by the author some time soon, but either way it was a great mod for me and I really appreciated it while I was able to use it!
(so sorry I just realized I "replied" to a post instead of posting my own comment and I have no idea how to fix that now)
Movement is definately faster but far more irritating, it keeps turning an extra turn and missing spots you are aiming at. Not that vanilla is any better, it shouldn't be that difficult to allow a player to move in a straight line and lay things along that path.
Not blaming you btw, you are trying to fix a broken system :)
so you definitely move faster, thx for that :) yet i think the mod did the best it can, but the movement and tile selection is crooked because of the games coding. it sometimes is easier with the mod but water crops for instance is a pain the ass still :(
Hmm it's definitely moving faster, but it's still very difficult if not impossible to select squares very close to me. I'm not even sure how that could be fixed. TBH.
This might get done, but it is low priority on the list of mods we want to create. I would suggest to use the Advanced Compactor Mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/dinkum/mods/32. It will let you add dirt and remove dirt with a toggle (F3).
For some reason it won't let me download, Says there's unsafe files and may cause viruses. I turned off Firewall.. Downloaded it.. the moment i turn firewall back on my game goes crashing and it won't let me start anymore till i delete this mod file. Anyone able to help me with this issue? I have the latest Bepinex so i don't think that's the issue.
The emu feels so much better oh my godddd. One huge issue, though. On controller, vehicles will still move when navigating the journal or other menus @_@
Vehicles that can reverse are still bound to one of the triggers, too, which is a little odd. You can combine it with the turning to make your dude do a glitchy sort of moonwalk, haha! On the whole, oh my god this is *such* an improvement, but it does feel a little awkward on controller. I'm not really sure how to fix that short of just disabling the new turning and sticking with the tank controls, either. I might just do that anyway as long as it keeps the vehicles moving nice and crisp like you've made them do? Because I don't want to lose the ability to reverse, either.
Wow! Thank you for the excellent MOD! I love Dinkum but I've been having trouble with navigating because navigation of player and vehicles are different. (I navigate by mouse but it didn't work with vehicles.) I also had problem with moving from tile to tile when I farm. Your MOD solved all these problems. Only a Jet Ski works as before. Can I request one more thing? Could you add a toggle key to hold W? I'm tired of pressing W all the time while I travel. I'm accustomed to C key in Skyrim (which toggle run/stop) and want the similar function. Thanks again and keep up the good work!
