I haven't played in so long, but felt like working on my town again. Loved your mod here in the past to help with build aspect, but can't get it to work. When I literally only have this and BepInEx enabled I get the following code. [Message: Preloader] BepInEx 6.0.0-pre.1 - Dinkum [Info : BepInEx] System platform: Windows 10 64-bit [Info : BepInEx] Process bitness: 64-bit (x64) [Info : Preloader] Running under Unity v2020.3.48.12060081 [Info : Preloader] CLR runtime version: 4.0.30319.42000 [Info : Preloader] Supports SRE: True [Message: Preloader] Preloader started [Info :AssemblyPatcher] Loaded 1 patcher type from [BepInEx.Preloader.Unity 6.0.0.0] [Info : Preloader] 1 patcher plugin loaded [Info : Preloader] 100 assemblies discovered [Message:AssemblyPatcher] Executing 1 patch(es) [Message: Preloader] Preloader finished [Message: BepInEx] Chainloader initialized [Info : BepInEx] 1 plugin to load [Info : BepInEx] Loading [psiber.awesome.printing 1.1.0] [Warning: Unity Log] The script 'AwesomePrinting.Plugin' could not be instantiated! [Message: BepInEx] Chainloader startup complete
Due to it not initializing holding it in hand is similar to just vanilla with no perks. Just a heads up I have also tried Multiple BepinEx files "BepinEx_UnityMono" 6 / "BepinEx_UnityMono" 6 pre 1 and pre 2 all which show in logs as "BepInEx.Preloader.Unity 6.0.0.0"
I remember installing this mod and it not working. This was because the NexusID was missing. I know the NexusID is in the link. But where do I have to put this? I fixed it before but don't remember.
Yea, still not working. BepInEx ver 6.0.0.697, no other mods. No hotkey changes. Tested on 2 different gaming rigs. Intel/AMD. Just straight does not work
ETA: It's been confirmed that anything developed 6.0.0.577 prior will not work on the later releases of BepInEx.
So I downgraded to .572, and for the first time BepInEx actually loads the plugin. But it still can't instantiate it. So still not working.

It's interesting to me that the error is being raised from Unity logging, not Bepinex. Can you supply your unity logs? Might give an insight into root cause.
I don't understand how to activate this mod after installing. I used the correct key with the middle right mouse button and clicked several times but nothing happened.
Can you please allow us to hold down and walk with it? It's amazing but being able to hold and walk would be just freaking phenomenal :D
Also the name of the printer is the settings... literally "x setting, y setting, z setting". Can you make it have the name "Dirt Printer (x setting, y setting, z setting)" instead so it's easier to find please? :)
I did originally dabble with continuous application like you are suggesting but found that updating more frequently contributed to issues with updates not occurring reliably and seriously chugging the framerates. Even gating it to a timed loop didn't resolve it as nicely as simply typing the behavior to a click event did.
I've done some fairly serious refactors and improvements since I last played with it though so the next time I have it open I will review this feature request to see if it is more viable now.
The implementation is as non invasive as it can possibly be. It doesnt modify the default dirt printer other than it's name (to show the brush settings), and just adds an entirely seperate check that detects when you right click with a dirt printer in hand and does custom behavior.
@site098 Please check you're using BepInEx version 6.0.0.572 or greater. Most users problems are hotkey conflicts or wrong bepinex version.
@zenboomerang I also use it with a smorgasboard of Snaitf mods without issue. Great to hear it's played nicely for you.
I'd say job well done. If you install this mod and realize it doesn't work, then yes, it's hard to use. The use I am talking about is not a tool, but this mod adds a new tool to be used to modify terrain. But it's so hard to get, and it's completely by luck, that I finished a long time without crafting this tool. Next I'll talk about how to get this tool: First, you need to use a metal detector, then get enough discs, wait at random for the scientist Franklin to arrive, then give him the discs to unlock the tech. Until you unlock the tool added by the mod (note that you are not unlocking the tool from the original version of the game). After unlocking the tech, you will need materials to make the tool, one material in particular is needed for the tool and that is opal. Opal is one of the hardest materials to get in the game. The only way to get it is really by luck, one is to mine non-stop and rely on your luck to dig up the shiny stone (first time probability). Then you can put the shiny stones into the stone crusher and get opal by luck. The second is waiting for the weather to randomize to a rainy day, and relying on luck to randomly strike thunder and drop thunder eggs. EMM, in short, whether it's the first method or the second method, you have to go through two layers of luck to bet on the probability of getting an opal. So much so that the chances of unlocking this tool are slim. It is recommended to use a modifier to get it.

You also have to get the dirt printer it adds, it doesn't edit the existing one IIRC.

I have used it with about half of Snaif's mods without any problems.
It doesnt modify the default dirt printer other than it's name (to show the brush settings), and just adds an entirely seperate check that detects when you right click with a dirt printer in hand and does custom behavior.

Just buy it from Franklyn when it unlocks.

If so this s#*! does NOT work. I'm holding a printer and pressing all the keys :(
