Great idea, and thank you for the mod. Just noticed huge performance impact when around anything that I could pick up. As soon as I look at something to pickup, my fps breaks down from 100 capped, to below 50 for 1 or 2 seconds. When moving around my crafting place, the whole game is constantly stuttering. It looks like reading the name from the database slows the game somehow.
Just in case you might think my hardware is not enough:
5900x 12c/24t @4,6 GHz all core, watercooled. 32GB RAM 2080Ti @ 3440x1440 100hz, game stays most of the time at 100 fps only down in the mines I have to reduce the chunk rendering distance. 4th Gen 2TB Gigabyte Aorus .M2 SSD
Hmm, okay thanks. I'll have a look into improving performance. Seems to run fine on the 3 PCs I have here, might have something to do with your particular world/save.
Would it be possible to send me a copy of your save for me to test?
This happened also with a fresh new save game. As soon as I look at something, fps drop at least 50%.
Maybe this is an incompatibility problem with the other mods I use? Here is the list I'm using:
Value Tooltip
AutoPickup
Time Management (formerly Journal Pause) Light Version
Museum Tooltip
Extended Wheelbarrow
Improved Minimap
The Mods above run perfectly fine without any issues. Your mod was the first that caused this problem. Hope we can find the reason and fix it. Really love the idea of your mod.
Thanks for the mod, but like they said, not playable like this. 60fps capped and as soon as you get near a box or something where it displays the name, fps tanks down to a final 30fps standing in front of it, reading the text. And sorry, there is no way this "seems to run fine" on the 3 PC you have tested. Didnt you notice the fps drops? Maybe this works on a new save/game? Did you test on an existing save with several stuff in your camp?
