About this mod

This mod allows you to edit the ground underneath placed buildings without having to move them, as well as under other things like trees and rocks. You can change the ground material, add/remove grass (including mowed), and add/remove paths. It will not change the height of the ground: Only what's on it.

Permissions and credits
This mod lets you edit the ground underneath buildings, without having to move those buildings. (It won't change the height of the ground by adding or removing it: It will just let you change what ground it is and what is on it.) It also lets you edit under everything else, including trees, rocks, grass, and bones.

Because the game does not normally let you use items when you are pointed at a building, in this mod you do it a special way: Different items (listed below) will have different effects on the ground, and you put these in the FIRST (LEFTMOST) hotbar slot. Then, you hold a termite nest (gotten from breaking the brown conical termite nests found in the bushlands) anywhere else in your hotbar and select that slot (so you are holding it in your hands). When you use the termite nest on the ground, the mod looks for whatever is in your first hotbar slot and makes a change.

This mod works on all ground, not just under buildings, so for your convenience you don't have to switch around your stuff all the time. It also works under things that are not buildings, so you can put paths under trees, and even under fragile things like grass without breaking it like you would if you just put the path down normally.

This mod adds a feature that lets you turn off all the "stuff" on the ground, especially buildings, so that you can walk through it and see under it to edit under it. You do not have to do this to edit under buildings: You need to do it only if you want to get to spots in the middle of a big building that you can't reach from the edge outside of it. (IMPORTANT NOTE: Turning stuff off like this is generally safe, and no lasting issues have been observed so far when using it, but it can mess up some things like the animations of machines which you can fix by sleeping. It is still an excellent idea to back up your save!)

The config file lets you turn the entire mod on and off, lets you change which key/button will toggle the hiding of nearby stuff (keypad 7 by default), and how far away from you it will hide stuff (10 tiles straight-line by default). I have no idea how this mod will work in multiplayer since I didn't test it there, but it will be odd at the very least. Also, because bridges can be so large, they may not disappear until you are at a specific part of them. You can increase the range of stuff hiding if this bothers you.

These are the items you can hold in your first slot to do things to the ground (when I say "simple ground", I mean flat grass, normal or rocky dirt, sand, red sand, or mud):

any path -- on an existing path, will swap the paths and drop the old one
any path -- on simple ground, will place the path
empty shovel -- on an existing path, will remove the path and restore the ground that was underneath it
empty shovel -- on grass, will remove the grass and restore the ground that was underneath it
a stone -- changes the ground to hard rocky dirt (found near ores) (stone not consumed)
a shiny stone -- changes the ground to soft rocky dirt (found near rivers) (stone not consumed)
a shovel with dirt on it -- changes the ground to dirt
a shovel with sand on it -- changes the ground to sand
a shovel with red sand on it -- changes the ground to red sand
a shovel with mud on it -- changes the ground to mud
grass seeds -- on simple ground, changes the ground to that type of grass
lawnmower -- mows grass

This is a standard BepInEx 6 mod, so follow the standard Dinkum modding instructions and put the DLL file in your plugins folder. To create the config file, open Dinkum and immediately close it again. This mod is safe to remove at any time because it does not affect your save file in any way.
