no, this mod is a stand alone mod. you should be able to just paste the files in the mod folder and use it. Mind you I do not play this game now so I am not sure about recent updates and its compatibility. Well whoops, after deleting this mod all my runeword gear is gone on character that was turned on while having Stackit mod installed. There might have been error/lack of knowledge on my part merging this mod with loot filter mod I have installed because this mod save files went straight to loot filter mod saved files, because loot filters modinfo.json file got copied over to Stackit folder while merging (Stackit don't have modinfo.json so no overwrite warning, nor did I know of such file existence at that moment) so any changes done went to my original saved games in loot filter saves folder - there goes my backups. Anyway stacked runes/gems textures where missing, only slightly blue tile instead of empty black so I deleted merged mod, installed fresh Stackit (to see if the texture problem was because of some incompatibility because my loot filter changes rune icons), made modinfo.json file so game creates separate folder for Stackit saves, copied over saved games from loot filter saves folder, launched the game and boom all my runeword gear is gone. Launched game again only with lootfilter mod, still gone. So beware.
Sorry to hear man not sure what happened tbh. In any game I do a save backup before I change/update msjor mods also try using the MM version of this mod, might help with compatibility especially when merging mods
I am attempting to merge this with a mod that I am currently working on, upon running the game runewords are broken and no longer work/ have disappeared. Can any help on this?
I have a question i merged ur mod with some others and i just found out i can re-buy vendored gems to get a full stack. Is there a way i can disable that? Stacked Runes and Gems behave like Arrows and Bolts. i want my mod to be as close to vanilla and feel like being able to sell a stacked high rune to get a full stack is very tempting to abuse.
if this is possible somehow i dont care if arrows and bolts wouldnt be rebuyable fully stacked afterwards.
(It might be the case i got it from another mod cant remember. i modified some of them to my needs)
that might be a behavior of the merchants towards stackable items. From what I recall the gems are not available to purchase from vendors but it seems the buy back is the problem. I'm not modding nor playing D2R ATM so I most likely I wont be investigating this. It indeed sucks because my aim was to be as uninstructive as possible and this exploit is game breaking. There might be an easy way to handle this by disabling buy back all together but I have never done this.
i just wanna say, mod sucks, glowing runes are barely visible(dunno if this supposed to be cool? probably, but practically its not helping at all) and when rune drop from monster is not even orange like before. easy to miss rune drop. not saying that to make author bad just hope he fix that. gonna stay vanilla or try to find other mod.
That's odd, remember the drop color was handled as it would be indeed PITA if it was grey- you got any other mods installed? If not you can change color of the fonts with filter editing. Regarding the glowing its just how I implemented it, more glow and it looked very fake to me.
To update on this: the graphics will be updated soon as I got better with image editing. The rune drops are handled like vanilla so they should be orange. If this is not the case let me know and I will look into it.
My mod doesn't touch the inventory files, but form what I recall the Merc Equip did some magical stuff, so it might be colliding with this mod due to the unconventional implementation of Merc Equip. My mod is fairly small so it would be best to contact ES creator and ask what's up since I'm not mudding d2r atm, nor playing it. shouldn't take too long to figure out.
Thanks! I tried many things to get this to work, and from what I tested unstacking can be only done by cube. Weird stuff happens when you make gems stack directly so they need to be converted to a new entity.

I've noticed that this mod is not compatible with "Expanded Storage (with Merc Equip)". If you merge the StackIt data over the Expanded data, the merc UI shows the inventory slots but you cannot equip extra gear to them. if you merge the Expanded data over the StackIt data, the single player game fails to load and requires a deletion of the shared stash or wherever stacked runes/gems are.
Is there any way these might be able to work together?
