Mod Breakpoint & Recipe Panels encountered an error! Error: API.extractFile: Failed to open file in CASC storage (global\ui\layouts\recipespanelhd.json): (CascLib Error Code: 2) at mod.js:63:32 at mod.js:133:3 at VM.runScript (D:\D2RMM 1.5.0\resources\app.asar\node_modules\vm2\lib\mod.js:287:18) at D:\D2RMM

Sounds like you are using direct mode with D2RMM. I don't use direct mode so I am not super familiar with it, but if I had to guess I would try putting the recipespanelhd.json file in the data\global\ui\layouts\ directory in your D2R installation.

idk why but the window is transparent whenever I use this. I only see an outline and text, even when I disable all my other D2RMM mods.
EDIT: no outline, just every UI element beside the backgrounds.

Strange, I haven't heard/seen that issue before. I am using the options panel background image for these panels, but I changed the dimensions of them to fit the needs of these new panels. I assume your options panel looks normal. I guess you could verify that the background sprites are being copied over properly to your D2 area and the path isn't somehow changed? Maybe it can't find the background sprite for some reason so there is no background image.

I'll check if you give me the file name and what would be the correct path, I don't know 'em by heart.

recipesbg.sprite and breakpointsbg.sprite should be copied to mods\D2RMM\D2RMM.mpq\data\hd\global\ui\panel\options\ in your D2R folder. If they are there ensure they are 6,320 KB and 12,455 KB respectively. If those sizes don't match, consider re-downloading the mod... once nexus mods removes the false quarantine.

The files are there but no background. All other D2RMM mods disabled. I'm playing on Windows 10, no special settings except windowed I think.

What's different from yours vs mine? Do you have all data extracted or do you just run vanilla?

I am also on windows 10. I tried windowed mode at different resolutions and it was fine. I tried DLSS on vs. off with various settings and it was fine. I don't know what you mean by "do I have all data extracted or do I run vanilla". I am using D2RMM 1.4.8 and I have all of my other mods enabled as well.

I assume you verified that the file sizes matched what I said they should be? I don't have any good ideas except to check your D2RMM version and make sure it's not too old, and to re-download the mod, once the false quarantine gets resolved.

You can use CascView to read and extract all MPQ files to your \D2R\Data\ folder to increase load speeds. I don't have that atm so I guess it doesn't matter. I'll try a redownload once the quarantine has been lifted.

I still have this issue. I did a fresh install of D2R yesterday and just now refreshed your mods files (deleted old files, inserted new) and still no background image for the window. Any ideas? D2RMM 1.5.0.

As a test I commented out the code that copies the hd directory for the breakpoints panel. I get exactly what you are describing, no background, but every other UI element is there. It would seem like the sprite isn't being copied over or it isn't being recognized for some reason. You said you saw the sprites being copied into your mods\D2RMM\D2RMM.mpq\data\hd\global\ui\panel\options\ area, so I don't know what the issue could be.

What's your resolution and resolution scale settings?

Thanks for checking it out, I'll check later if those specific sprites are copied over in the end result.
Windows resolution is 2560x1440p with 100% scaling, the game plays in windowed mode on 1920x1080.

I tried your mod, but still had the floating arrow in my Expanded Stash even though it is the latest version, and you've stated its now compatible with Expanded Stash. I tried deleting your mod, then after that didn't get rid of the arrow, I reinstalled your mod and disabled all settings to it in D2RMM, but that arrow is still there. Even while disabled and/or deleted, that arrow is not only still there, but it is still functional (the extra breakpoint panel is still there and working). As in, even when I disabled or even *deleted* your mod, it somehow made the changes *permanent*.

... How do I get rid of the arrow in my stash? Here is a picture of my load order if it is relevant:

Nevermind, apparently I needed to click "Install Mods" a second time to actually remove the changes. I had no idea D2RMM worked this way.

      Arrow is gone now.

... Still would like the menu to work without the floating arrow though, if you are able to update the mod to make it compatible. Thanks in advance.

The one requirement is that the expanded stash mod is loaded before the panels mod, which it looks like you have already. It works for me.

      Load Order:
      https://pasteboard.co/LiwgqoNFZA4C.png

This is what it looks like when expanded stash is loaded before panels (correct):
      https://pasteboard.co/WmeImj5e21tH.png

This is what it looks like when panels is loaded before expanded stash (wrong):
      https://pasteboard.co/EhDeaI3dJk2t.png

I noticed your D2RMM is version 1.5, while I am still using 1.4.8, maybe that somehow broke it. Can you verify that you loaded the expanded stash mod before the panels mod?

On an unrelated note, I noticed that you are using the decrease clutter drops mod. You may want to take a look at my reduce item clutter mod. It covers the same things as decrease clutter drops, but it goes further with more options and coverage of what items you can hide.

I can't wait to try this, thank you!

    Edit:

If I may make a suggestion, it would be nice to have the option to enable/disable either stash & cube recipe panels from within D2RMM. That way, those people who are using ExpandedStash can still use the cube recipe panel without a button behind the itemgrid.

Thanks again for the great mod! It provides some great QOL.

Good suggestion. I didn't realize the button would be left over when you used expanded inventory. I am uploading the update now.

    Great Work!
Implemented it without D2RMM and I'm not sure if it's a consequence of that or something else but clicking the same widget that opens the panels won't close them. Any idea how to fix this? Tried changing the panel type and some other stuff and that just broke it more lol

    Fixed it:
    "onClickMessage": "PanelManager:OpenPanel:
    change to
    "onClickMessage": "PanelManager:TogglePanel:

I don't own a controller, so I wouldn't be able to test the mod at all. Any modder who wants to can use this mod and adapt it for controller UI if they please.

Awesome! Can be really useful, indeed. Does it work with the big inventory/stash mods etc?

      Thanks, glad you like it.

The Recipes panel uses the original stash and cube panels, so any mods that change those would not have the Recipes button anymore. Big inventory will work. The breakpoints panel is connected to the character panel, so as long as the character panel is not changed then that would work.

You can have a big stash or a big cube, as long as one of them is the original then the recipes button would be available for the original, but you can't have both the stash and cube be big/different from original.

You also need to be aware of your load order in D2RMM. If you want the recipes button for one thing, and a big size for the other thing, then you need to load the big stash or big cube mod after this mod in the D2RMM list.

Just saw this mod. Really cool stuff - nice job!

If you're interested, D2RMM allows you to do something like https://diffonline.net/O1UXiLsgb9 (and delete the included overrides for the vanilla JSON files) to make this automatically compatible with any other mods that may modify the vanilla character/stash/cube panels. It would also make this mod immune to D2R's version updates. (Technically, the new panels should probably also align based on changes to vanilla panels, but it's the same approach to do that.)

Putting stuff in code also allows for some other interesting features such as automatically generating text for all cube recipes, including those added by mods. (Though that's likely too many to be truly useful without having some way to search.)

Thanks for the kind words, and very nice work on showing what's possible with D2RMM. I haven't worked with .js or .json files before doing these mods, so I am learning as I go. Having well done examples is a great help.

It would be awesome if somehow a runeword panel could be added. At that point I don't think I would have to google anything and could do everything within the game.
