About this mod

**WORKS ONLINE** (see installation instructions) - A practical, utilitarian item filter that 1. shortens potion names, scrolls, gold and 2. highlights small/grand charms, jewels, gems and 3. potions

update v3.0 - changed the appearance of grand/small charms, added rune numbers to all runes, fixed various bugs

Changelogs
This is a practical item filter. Other item filters available add too much visual clutter in my opinion, and make it more difficult to figure out what on the screen is important by adding too many colors or icons. A filter should make it easy to see what's important quickly.

Please drop me an endorse if you like it!

Philosophy:
  • shorten item names/decrease ground item tooltip size to decrease clutter and free up screen space in loot-heavy situations.
  • minimal highlights - only items such as jewels and charms to help them stand out from other magic items.
  • NEVER MISS A HIGH RUNE - light pillars on high runes (pul+) means you don't have to worry about missing a high rune, even when there is so much loot that the item label is hidden.

Changelog
3.0 - grand/small charms - changed rarity indicator for cleaner look
- added rune numbers to all runes
- removed "-" on tp and id scrolls - I felt it didn't add anything but clutter
- On-ground tooltips (dropped items):
- font size reduced from 33 to 32
- background color darkened slightly
- on item mouseover - highlighted color darkened, before was very bright, difficult to see item
- inventory tooltips - tooltip background darkened in inventory as they are normally extremely translucent

2.22- see updated photo
- changed jewels/gcs/scs look to add indicator for rarity
- changed flawless gems to look more like Kryszard's and to be more visible

2.2 - added optional potion color filter (includes all changes + potion colors)
- added symbol around charms and jewels for emphasis (for all filters)

2.1 - Strengthened light beams on high runes
- added high rune numbers, emphasis on rune names

2.0 - light beams added on high runes

1.0 - filter released (see full feature list)

Complete Feature list:

High Runes
Added light pillars to high runes
Burst of light when HR drops
HR names - added emphasis to pul+, added rune numbers to all runes

Ground item tooltip size decreased
Decrease the font size of ground item labels (from 36 to 32)
Ground tooltip slightly less see-through (opacity increased from 0.6 to 0.85
// Reasoning: ground item labels take up too much screen space, pushing

// some item labels off the screen. Additionally, certain bright spell effects
// make it difficult to see item labels at times, so increased opacit

Item Name Changes: (see picture!)
Healing/Mana Potion names shortened - progression from smallest to largest is:
Hp¹ > Hp² > Hp³ > -Hp > !Hp
Mp¹ > Mp² > Mp³ > -Mp > !Mp

Gold > " " Gold ground tooltip has no "gold" label, so you only see the amount of gold
// Reasoning: There is no reason to highlight gold, it's everywhere and it's the only number
// on the ground so you know what it is without a label.

Scroll of Identify > Id
Scroll of Town Portal > Tp

Rejuvenation Potion > Rejuv
Full Rejuvenation Potion > !Full

Strangling Gas Potion > Sgp
Fulminating Potion > Fulm
Choke Gas Potion > Cgp
Exploding Potion > Expl
Rancid Gas Potion > Rgp
Oil Potion > Oil

Stamina Potion > Stam
Antidote Potion > Ant
Thawing Potion > Thaw

Jewel > Turquoise color added **now shows rarity
Small charm > Turquoise color added **now shows rarity
Grand charm > Turquoise color added **now shows rarity
// Reasoning: these items have the same color as all other magic items,
// making it difficult to pick them out on cluttered screens - change color

Flawless Gems > updated with colored @ sign similar to Kryszard's loot filter for pd2

Installation (It works online! )

1. Install D2RMM
2. Download the filter. Extract into the .../D2RMM/mods/ folder
3. Run D2RMM
4. Select the mod (the filter)
5. Click INSTALL MODS
6. Go to D2R on the Bnet launcher, click gear icon near "Play", click "Game Settings", check "Additional command line arguments"
7. Add "-mod D2RMM -txt" to the text box below, and click "Done" Like this.
8. Play through the bnet launcher to play online (only way that works online)

Using this method of installation, You will need to relocate/copy your single player files and config files from "C:\Users\user\Saved Games\Diablo II Resurrected" to "C:\Users\user\Saved Games\Diablo II Resurrected\mods\D2RMM". If you skip this step you'll have to redo all your settings and your single player saves won't show up.

You can also install using D2RMM's "Direct Mode" but it requires you extract all the game files and be kind of smart **AND YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PLAY ONLINE WITH THIS METHOD**. You can see my guide on load times which also describes how to load the game using "-direct -txt" mode which is how you would use this mod in direct mode. That guide is here: D2R Tips to improve your load times
