I'd rather they just fix it so that if any enemy is killed over impassable terrain, they just drop loot (if any is to drop) on the nearest pathable spot.
That's how it works in D3, that's how it ought to work in D2.
No, it only affects the specters in Arcane (wraith3 monster ID). The ones in Chaos and RoF are other type of ghosts.
They can probably be modifed the same way, I just give them a different AI and set their flying attribute to false but if somehow they spawn out of bounds (like Vizier can sometimes), they will be stuck there obviously, since they wont't be able to fly (although probably if a monster can't fly it is not able to spawn out of bonds...probably).
I will test it and add an optional settings for all ghost types (probably not the ones that spawn in WSK, Great Marsh, Outer Steppes for example, the disappeary ones since it would mess up their AI)
