I will appreciate it if those who are experiencing white screen crash could help me with some testing.
Test1: 1. Uninstall the mod. 2. Delete everything from "Bloodier Palace\natives\x64\props\mesh" except the "sm1596_battlefloor" folder. 3. Delete the "environments" folder from these locations: Bloodier Palace\natives\x64\scene\location\location23 Bloodier Palace\natives\x64\scene\location\location39 Bloodier Palace\natives\x64\scene\location\location40 4. Install the mod again and tell me if the crashes are gone or still there.
Test2: Try the Naxshe's Bloody Island mod and tell me if it has the same problem.
EDIT: Added two more versions for those experiencing white screen crash.
You can either delete this file x64\scene\location\location39\location39_light.scn and it will use the default lighting or swap it with the ones from location23 or location40 to get the lighting from 1-40 or 80-100.
Can you be more specific? What exactly didn't work? Did you have white screen crash or infinite loading? There are 3 file variations, did you try all of them? Did you try the Bloody Island mod?
Do you mean the White Screen crash? I've found the issue but don't know how to fix it, so I just removed the stuff that is causing it with the two new variations.
Just reporting I have the same white screen crash with both this mod and Naxshe's Bloody Island variant.
Tried your test1 on both yours and Nax's, seems to have solved the crash on both. Whatever it was, its in one of the deleted folders...
The white screen itself is weird as its not immediately reproducable on any stage. First time I got it was after stage 3, then on replay with the same character it went past that stage... then happened on stage 13... then next replay it happened on stage 6... its almost like a dieroll to see if it will happen or not... complete RNGesus on if it decides to just white screen.
Appreciate the update! Weird thing was that this mod was working for me perfectly fine with Vergil until I reinstalled the game cause other mods (Audio and model replacements for Vergil) wouldn't work no matter what, apparantly reinstalling fixed those mods but ruined this one.
Vergil update has the mod-scene in a bit of disarray but nonetheless thank you for taking the time to fix this mod! I also want to ask, do white screen crashes still exist in this version or have you fixed that?
I've attempted to do some fixes related to the white screen crash but I have no idea what is causing it. Since I can't reproduce the crash there is no way for me to tell if it's fixed or not no matter what I do.
I've experienced a white screen crash at stage 6 and stage 48, but only once. Sometimes I get no crashes at all. Will try the fix with Test1 and see if it's better.
