Hey, I've got a request.  I hate to do this, since I've tried to do music modding myself, but I just never could get it working.  If you ever have the time or desire, could you consider doing  this?

I totally get it if not, I just was listening to it and with the Dante & Vergil vs Nero mod, I kinda really want to do that now with this.

again I get it and if you'd rather just help me do it, let me know. Or if you're not interested at all, that's okay too!

Sorry for the month late response, but I could try helping, because i'm not going to go through with putting something that sounds like sand paper to my ears in the game, since you have to spend quite some time editing the song before putting it in the game, but I'll gladly help if you're still trying and haven't gotten it to work.

It's manual, you should use the fluffy mod manager, and also read the post below this.

For those who can't get it to work. (Make sure you have 7-Zip or WinRaR installed before reading. That's your extract and conversion tool.)

1: Once the file is finished downloading, drag the file to your home screen.

2: You're gonna right click on the file and click (Extract to "Bury The Light M19-813-1-8-1608068464.")

3: Once you've successfully extracted the files you'll notice there's a folder inside the extracted folder. Double click the extracted folder and drag "BTLm19" to your home screen.

4: If you've used 7-Zip though out this process, simply drag the file to an up-to-date fluffy manager and the mod should work.

5: If you've used WinRaR though out this process, convert it in to a .rar file by right clicking on the files and click (Add to "BTLm19.rar")

6: Once you've converted the files to .rar, move the mod in to an up-to-date fluffy manager and the mod should work.

If you have any question for if I made some errors, or if you just gotta quicker way of doing it. Please do not hesitate to ask or tell me. Hope this helps! :D (Note: If you're using 7-Zip, make sure when you right-click the file, hover over the 7-Zip icon and you'll see the option from this guide.)

Thanks, but I've never used .rar files for fluffy's, I just put the normal folder there. And I also suggest to use 7Zip instead of WinRaR.

DMC 5 is when I really started trying to mod on PC. The majority of mods here use .rar, (from what I've seen.) So I've just assumed that WinRaR is what I needed to get mods working. I'm still fairly new to the modding scene myself and WinRaR is what I know the best when I help people. I don't really know how to use 7-Zip all too well, but ill definitely try and learn how to use 7-Zip. Thanks for the suggestion! :D

EDIT: I'm big dumb dumb and didn't realize that its basically the same exact steps. I'll edit my guide.

Ya No matter what I do or how I install it, I can never get this or the M20 version to work. I extracted it to the mod manager folder and installed it, tried uninstalling everything and verifying the game files with no problems, installing the mods by themselves and even just dropping the files into "native" directly but nothing works. I can't tell if I'm just an idiot or what.

Installing mods directly into the native folder won't do anyting I think. I'm not really sure about what you can do but you can try making sure that you put the right folder into the mod manager(it's called BTLm19). If that doesn't work I'm not sure, you could re-reading the game archives with fluffy with all mods uninstalled.

Right I have the folder extracted from the ZIP and can install it with the mod manager but I have tried everything I feel like. I've verified the game files with no mods activated and then only enabling the song mods a couple of times but still nothing. It's just really strange having tried what everyone is saying almost a dozen times, and I've been dying to get these working. Maybe I'll see if there is a new mod manager version or something.

I was wondering how you actually managed this? I've been trying to make a dynamic music mod myself, similar to this but with Smell of the Game over Subhuman (in celebration of DMC Strive's upcoming release this week) but I'm not 100% on how I should hex edit it. I have the songs with no delay/end silence, so should I just set the two values in the hex to 0 (start) and then the second as the duration of the clip?

Dynamic music modding is very different than what I did for the bosses, it's alot more difficult. For Subhuman there are a few tracks were changing the length in the bnk with hex doesn't seem to do anything(I know that devil trigger and crimson cloud also has a few tracks were it's not possible to change the length, I don't know if Bury The Light has any yet.):97, 22, 15, 18, 02, 115, 20, 71, 99, 67. For these tracks you have to match your new tracks with the length of these. What I do is I put the track I want over the old one and keep the silence before and after from the old track. For all other Subhuman tracks you can have them as short or as long, just remember to change the right values in the bnk.

okay, so I did the hex edits (set the first value for each dynamic track that I'm modding to 0 and the second to the song's duration in miliseconds) but now the songs just aren't playing. Any idea why that may be? Did I mess something up? Sorry for the questions, I can find next to nothing in the way of guides for modding dynamic music.

There aren't any guides, there's a good guide for re2 that applies for most bnk sound editing, but other than that I can help you since I've made a dynamic mod before. Send me your discord if you have and want help since using nexus is pretty slow for conversations.
