I want to leave an appreciation comment / review for this reshade because I love it so much. My favorite kind of reshades are ones that don't go overboard and make things look completely different, but the ones that just enhance the vanilla look to make the colors and lighting more vibrant / realistic. This does that so perfectly for me, I'll never use any other reshade for DMC 5 because this is the definitive one. However I have to say that I had to turn off all of the adaptive sharpening options as well as the fish eye lens effect (even though I wanted to keep that) because it really bothered me that I kept seeing white dots and dotted lines across the whole screen every time it was black. Turning off those options fixed it perfectly. Also I turned on the fake HDR and Vibrance.fx options that came default with reshade and those improved the look of this mod even more. So thank you for making DMC 5 look so much better with this, massively appreciated.

Works best on a monitor that is set to sRGB mode.

Guys, for those who are having trouble the reshade is not working, go to your DMC5 directory and find dmc5config and open it, change this TargetPlatform=DirectX12 to TargetPlatform=DirectX11 and save. i got mine working. i hope this helps

The v1.1 that I just uploaded should be compatible with DirectX 11 & 12.

Does this reshade decrease the fps?

All ReShades decrease the FPS, and the impact will depend on the quality and quantity of the effects. You can't get something for nothing.

I'm working on an update for framework v4.7.0 (a complete rework) that will hopefully result in better quality and performance.

Hey, I installed your mod into my game folder (reshade folder and 3 files). However, nothing changed. Did I do something wrong?

      TROUBLESHOOTING

Always remove ReShade files from a previous install before installing.
Rename "d3d11.dll" to "dxgi.dll" if your game crashes at startup.
Disable Steam overlay if you have controller issues.
Disable third-party programs, and seek help in the forums if all else.

Please let me know if you've tried the basic troubleshooting.

So your telling me that I have to lower the graphics of my game by half from 200% to 100% in order to run your re-shader ?
What kind of crap is that...? What is the purpose of putting this beautiful colors you've made if I have to lose graphic quality for them.

How about try again, this time make one for 200% resolution scaling .
    Thank you.

No, read the instructions again. It says...

....Depth of Field and Ambient Occlusion won't work if
"Resolution Scale" is set higher than 100% in the Graphics Options.

Basically, just those 2 effects won't work.

      What "master" folder?

The master folder is the folder that you extract from the .zip archive. Inside of that folder is a ReShade folder and 3 files. Copy and paste those to your DMC5 directory (where DevilMayCry5.exe is located). When you launch the game you'll see some text in the top-left corner of the screen, that means it's installed correctly.

Did your game crash, or is the ReShade just not working in-game? If your game crashes, try renaming the d3d11.dll file to dxgi.dll. Also try disabling third-party software (FRAPS, MSI afterburner, etc.) as well as the Steam overlay. I have a feeling there might be some third-party software on your machine that's interfering with the ReShade. This type of ReShade (v1.1 framework) is the most reliable, just copy and paste the files. Good luck!

Just in case you have Windows 10 patch 1903, here is a potential workaround:

      Run Windows 8 compatibility mode
(Right click the DevilMayCry5.exe->properties->compatibility mode and select Windows 8 compatibility mode)

Beautiful!! Great idea the toggle option for the effects!
Only one doubt, with this reshade there is also a little "zoom", what is it? Can we avoid it? Thank you again

Oh that, it's just a little perspective correction to add some screen "pop" so the image doesn't look so flat. To disable it, go into the ReShade folder and open the McFX.fx file with notepad. Then look for this line:

      #define USE_FISHEYE_CA 1 <----- Change to 0, then save and close.

      Thanks for your support!

Good Job man, the inclusion of the keys to turn effects on and off is really cool.

Could you include a option to have the FidelityFX_CAS (AMD adaptive sharpening)?

Thanks, I'm just a worker bee for the ReShade dev team.

I have the Contrast Adaptive Sharpening shader included in my personal files with the v4.3.0 framework, but not v1.1 yet because I'm actually trying to move away from the old framework due to future projections (eventually it won't work anymore in modern games, especially Vulcan API, so I have to be prepared). Although v1.1 has better quality than the v4.3.0 framework, which is why I swear by the v1.1 as my first choice.

My To Do List is quite long, but when I get a chance I'll see about porting the CAS shader to the v1.1 framework. Give me about a week, or it could be ready by tomorrow night.

Edit: Due to the register limit of the v1.1 framework, the porting of the CAS shader is not possible, or at least by me. Maybe someone else can figure it out. Please wait for an update of this DMC ReShade for the v4.3.0 framework. That I can definitely do, sometime in the near future.
