Really cool, FF8 is one of my favourite Final Fantasy games and I love Squall, thanks for making this! I also like the added touch of having the Griever logo in all of the menus and stuff too
Good job! I was hoping you'd finish this after seeing the Gunblade mods (also well done). I have noticed the disappearing arm issue, so I'll be eager to see if you manage to fix it at some point.
Hmmm... I guess I would double check that you're using the latest version of the Fluff Mod Manager (check on Fluffy's website too and not just the version on nexus). It should show up just fine by droping the .rar file into the mod folder.
Is it possible for the spectral Gunblade replacing the spectral Yamato during showdown be set as a separate toggeable option? I admittedly wanted someone to replace the Spectral Yamato during DT mode as Nero
It is possible to remove it, but I kind of wanted to leave it as a part of the default. I'll sit down and think about separating that from Squall model entirely as an official update to this mod. But in the meantime you can remove the Lionheart Gunblade from the Squall mod by going inside the natives folder and then opening the x64 folder and deleting the vfx folder within that. The mod should work just fine but without the Lionheart Gunblade when you preform Showdown while in DT
Haha, I'm glad to hear it! The idea of this mod was definitely what kept me replaying dmc4 and 5 over and over before I decided to bite the bullet and try to figure out how to make this mod a reality. Nero's Red Queen felt too much like an action game equivalent to Squall's gunblade to not try and port it and Squall into the game.
Yeah, Rinoa in general was a little rushed into getting her into the game. And maybe I'll try to patch her up and get her looking a bit better in the areas she needs it eventually. But for the moment I'm taking a little break from actively modding, now that I've finally got this mod out.
I'm glad you like it I haven't played every FF yet, but of the ones I have played, he is far and away my favorite protag and from my favorite FF game too! I couldn't stop thinking while playing DMC4 for the first time about how much Nero's gameplay felt like an action game version of playing Squall in FF8. By DMC5, I could even pretend that the breaker arms Nero uses are like junctioned spells Squall uses too! I just had to learn how to put Squall and his gunblades in afterwards lol.

My only observation is that Rinoa's face has some texture issues here and there, but it's still really amazing work. I definitely couldn't do better!
