I saw that a small group of people downloaded this, so I thought I would post an update on the next battle track I am working on for those still interested:
This is a demo and test video I put together of the next battle track replacement mod I am working on. The music hasn't been modded in yet, I just recorded some combat footage and edited the music over it for an easier game-to-music comparison. I am trying to go with a calmer feeling than the first one to give some variety to the in-game music. Its drum and bass again, so it should still be quick and punchy to keep up with the speed of the game.
I'm using turbo (1.2x game speed) mode in this game footage.
nice beat. Just wondering if you can do the female version of mad qualia? I am not familiar with modding the music background. Thanks. Here's the link. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cdb3HooEvoA&list=PLu5Wq25nX3jtASqMvCPO533GdNNSRfJc_&index=57
No, I will not be taking any requests for modding anyone else's music in through my mod. The motivation behind this mod was and is to challenge myself by attempting to write and produce a song that would fit the Devil May Cry combat, then mod it into the game. If I do add more tracks, they will be ones that I have created.
I recommend looking through the links I posted on the main page of this mod and learning how to replace the dlc battle tracks with them. That should be all the information you need to get a working result, especially if you already have a song that you want to mod in. I can try to help with any specific questions as well.
Would it be possible for you to make a tutorial for how you did this? There isn't any reliable (nor up-to-date) tutorial on how to replace the DLC songs, just stuff for RE2 that only sometimes applied to DMC5 and sometimes didn't. I couldn't get ?any of my attempts to work.
Those 5 links should be enough information to learn how to mod a new song into the game in the place of the dlc track "Fire Away." The mod by Mr. Niggles has a particularly informative section under the posts tab. The way files are handled and interfaced with is almost exactly the same on a basic level for audio modding. The names, sizes, and details of the files might be different, but the functions they have are identical to those of RE2. That is why the RE2 tutorials are still very useful for modding DMC 5. I do not plan on making a tutorial for modding the dlc track because I think enough information exists already to do so, however I can help with any specific questions you have about the process.
