Do I absolutely have to replace the exe? I have a patched exe with all the options (scaling, regen batteries, FOV, etc), and the compatible modhook. Is it okay if I just place the files in the mods folder without replacing the exe?
you do not. even in the installation instructions youre only told of the other two files and to place those in the games main folder. it never even mentions the .exe added in there. i did not use that from his files and everything seems to be working just fine
Combat Rifle needs bigger ammo stacks in this newest version. 25 is just too low, given it's damage/accuracy. At least 50, like the 10mm Pistol, would be good.
EDIT: Also, I think the Machine Pistol ammo stack is bugged. It can stack up to 90 rounds in one box, and in the shop it says 50 rounds per stack. My guess is the author made a mistake in the hex number for the stack size.
Also, from what I could figure out so far, here's the changed ammo stacks for all guns (since this guy doesn't believe in detailed changelogs XD )
10mm ammo - 50 Machine Pistol ammo - 90 (should be 50, I assume a hex bug - though i think my number would be 75, since it's a weaker weapon then CR) Combat Rifle ammo - 25 (too low IMO, should be 40 or 50 - or make the stacks smaller in inventory) Sniper Rifle ammo - 10 Heavy Rifle ammo - 50 (too low for the stack sizes in inventory, i'd bump it to 75) Stun Gun/Tranq Rifle ammo - 5 (??? - I can understand it for the Tranq, the thing is pretty OPd, but the Stun Gun in this mod is very inconsistent in whether it drops a target or not, it should have higher ammo stacking - at least 15-20) Crossbow ammo - 5 (I'd bump it to 10, same as Sniper ammo) Shotguns ammo - 12 Rocket ammo - 2 Grenade ammo - 2 (should be 4, IMO, since rockets are way more powerful)
If you are having problems getting the mod to work on the start of the game (especially the GoG version), you may need to get the latest gibbed/DXHRDC modhook from the development GitHub repository: https://github.com/gibbed/DXHRDC-ModHook/releases, since the one included in the mod is an older version that occasionally has compatibility issues with some installs.
Loving the mod! Quick question (spoilers for item location changes, I guess)
When's the earliest you can acquire the Explosive Rounds Package for the revolver? In base game, you can get it as early as the first Hengsha visit, but not here...
Can someone please instruct me on how to return augmentations costs in praxis back to vanilla? I tried altering the code to no avail. This structure is still very confusing to me.
