Also having massive issues with the DE6. I already configured the amperage and that's fine, but it can't keep speed at all. It tries to brake and it wags the train brake back lever and forth repeatedly, like the tail on a happy dog, and the speed is consistently 5 to 10 km/h over the set point. So if I set it to 30 it'll be at around 40 ish. O.o
Having a small problem with the D4H, when climbing it loves to push the engine temp up into the red, almost 120 degrees at one point before I took over and cut the engine. >.< I'm going to try and change the settings, according to the gauge, 95 is the start of yellow and 105 is the start of flashing red. But defaults need to be tweaked it seems.
Fixed this issue by setting max amps to a huge number. It works fine now. I set it to like 10000000 or something like that. The issue appears to be caused by the fact that the DE6's Ammeter spikes to like 1100 when it starts moving under load.
can you do a video on how to make this mod work on DE6, i download v0.9.0 version and it still won't work (throttle keep going back and forth between throttle level 1 and idle)
Really amazing mod. It makes whole game so much more chill and casual. I love it.
I noticed using it on DE6 and any other loco what comes with Dynamic brake system. That software never uses it. I wonder is this something what could be implemented or due universal nature, this is not possible.
I know HOW to control the dynamic brake, but I don't know WHEN to apply it. If you use discord you could join it and discuss the conditions to use it with the other drivers.
It's a tricky thing, because what if the dynamic brake isn't enough?
I understand DM3 use with this is....Experimental.
Just FYI:
Shifting is affected even when the driver assist is disabled. Can't get it to shift properly at all manually. Have to uninstall the Driver assist mod in nexus mod manager to be able to operate the DM3 at all.
Also, When letting the Driver assist (enabled) run the DM3. it won't shift at all automatically. Just sticks in first gear and won't shift up. Yah, I understand, Experimental and still working on the subroutines to deal with shifting. But it works really great on the DE2 and DE6. Haven't tried the DH4 yet.
It seemed like you were on an old version of the game. In the initial release of simulator the DH4 was called "LocoDH2" in their code, but now it's correctly called "LocoDH4".

Good point , though. There should be an option to completely disable control over the gears.
