Does anyone have the game map ids? because I would like to know which level modifies the folder m08_00_00_00 and m08_01_00_00 etc. can anyone help me? Thanks
I'm trying to put custom textures on some of the weapons and armor but when I load up the game it just displays the original textures. I've unpacked both the partsbnd and partsbnd.dcx and replaced the textures in the unpacked tpf folder then repacked and replaced the files in the parts folder, what am I missing? Do I need to replace the textures in the _L.partsbnd and the _L.partsbnd.dcx also? I've modded custom models and textures in ER,DS3,DS1 and Bloodbourne and have only ever had to make changes to the .partsbnd file so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I've tried deleting the cashes from hdd_1 and if I unpack the part file again it still has my custom textures in it but it won't show in game.
Any way to get models? The article doesn't say anything about it. I tried to find some programs/scripts but none of them is working, they just don't seem to recognize DeS's FLVER version.
UPD: nvm I found the way. Blender 4.1+ and this certain addon did help.
While it may be possible, I would not recommend it because it would break an integral part of the game design. If you accrue lots of souls, you should spend them before going anywhere dangerous, and if you do lose souls then its up to you to avoid making the same mistake again and hopefully get them back before you die again. The tension created by the risk is part of the enjoyment, although it can be frustrating and I understand if you dislike it. If you're simply underpowered, you could try exploring for items and going into other worlds.
If you want, RPCS3 has its own cheat-engine-like menu that you could use to get the variable that holds your souls and change it manually. You could also use the Thomas dupe bug- which shouldn't be hard to find info about online- to dupe soul-containing items. Something I personally do is to backup my save before going into certain boss arenas that take a long time to get back to.
Can anyone help me with installing the debug menu for rspc3? It will simply not work even if I try my best to understand the instructions. Edit. Nevermind I figured it out.
Thanks to your guide I am able to open and perhaps modify some parameters of Demon's Souls.
However, I have a problem. I would like to change the damage multiplier of the enemies, which especially in NG + is very high.
For example in Dark Souls 2, for each enemy there is a "Damage / Aux multiplier" parameter which acts as a damage multiplier. If set to 1.0, the damage is as scheduled. For example, if I wanted to reduce the damage by 70%, it would be enough to set the Damage / Aux multiplier to 0.3.
Is there a parameter like this in Demon's Souls? I tried to search, but I didn't find it. The file structure is different than in DS2 and so I probably don't even know where to look exactly.
atkparam_npc.param? npcparam.param? elsewhere?
and what is the name of the parameter I am looking for, if it exists?
Hi. Would it be possible to fix with mods the graphics glitches present when emulating the game on RPCS3? Like the soldier's shield, the giant heart smashed on the ground at Latria (3-2), the Monk's Headcollar, the floor in the upper stingray path in 4-2 with all the dead stingrays, and the Storm King's barbs all being invisible. On the emulator's side they say they can't fix it, because it's not an emulation problem, but it's the game itself sending wrong math data that sets the scale of these objects to 0, thus rendering them invisible.
