when we want to change to permanent member from just member it requires 10000 points speaking about UN you should add VETO power countries too and you have not yet added war or invade option btw love the upgraded version and will give you more suggestions
Hi! bro you should add brics and other alliances too and in Pakistan make one research of join brics since Pakistan wants to and create a category in research tab named military where you should add different researches like armoured vehicles, bullet proof jackets, secret service, jets, helicopters, robotic army(with 40-50 research points), etc. hope you like the idea and sorry for bad grammar :(
I'll add the other alliances idea to the list, not sure about military research, but if I can make a good war system at some point then I'll likely do it.

Hi again AdeptusFreemanicus, I just installed the new update and I am happy to see some of my suggestions implemented! It's great to see a modder who takes the time and patience to apply constructive suggestions! However, I don't see my home country, Republic of Bulgaria among the playable nations? That saddens me as there are many exotic but far less important (IMO) countries included, as are almost all of Bulgaria's neighbors excluding North Macedonia. Sorry if I am a bit pushy to suggest adding Bulgaria again, but it would be awesome for me and for my compatriots to be able to solve the crises in our country in D4 instead of the incompetent corrupt politicians we have! :D :D
P.S. I think I found something odd again while testing Serbia - they are not in the EU anymore, which is correct, but they have NATO Membership on level 'substantial contributions' (middle of the slider). Wikipedia states: "Although current Serbian priorities do not include NATO membership, the Alliance offered Serbia an invitation to enter the intensified dialogue programme in 2008 whenever the country was ready." So per your discretion, NATO Membership should either be completely scrapped or toned down to the minimum which is labeled 'Partnership' (but IMO I still believe the policy should not be implemented at all - "4.02.2023 г. — Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said late Friday his country is going through the EU membership and integration process but does not want to join NATO."
hi! i love this mod and i wish a could play this in my game, but i need a help. when i put the mod in my game, i opened it normally, but when i try to start a new game in any country, it simply crash and close the game, with the error ''unknown software exception''. i put the mod in the folder of my game, because when i put in ''mods'' on my games > democracy 4, it doesnt work. can you help me please?
You need to make sure it's: Documents\My Games\Democracy4\mods\d4oe and inside d4oe it should be the folders data and translations with the config.txt with it. Then you need to activate the mod manually.
I just noticed something, not really a bug, so I'm posting it here, maybe it's intentional, maybe it's not: in the mod, Serbia is an EU member with all associated perks. However, IRL, Serbia is merely a candidate for EU membership, with decreasing chances of acceptance, especially after the breakout of the war in Ukraine (Source, if needed: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Accession_of_Serbia_to_the_European_Union). In my personal version of the mod, I modded that out, but since it's not something debatable, it's factual, I decided I should point it out.
Very nice, thanks for the estimate! In that regard, I'd like to point out one more small issue I came across when playing around with different countries:
India and Iran have varying degrees of Gay Marriage policy on start. While India IRL is swinging on the matter (so policy with value of 0 might be acceptable), Iran is strictly against gay marriages and in some cases, even applies death penalties for gay relationships (which means gay marriage is absolutely out of the question). So in my game, I edited out gay marriage completely from Iran. With regards to India, I believe as of 2023 their Supreme Court still hasn't legalized gay marriages, so a policy value of 0 is maybe appropriate, or deleting it altogether. I understand some of those policies may be in place to make the game more challenging, but at least to me, they don't seem very realistic and there should be other ways to make those countries more challenging.
* On a side note, Religious Membership percentages in India and Iran seem to me a bit off. While India should have a high religious population, 100% seems a bit excessive - my online search showed surveys reporting around 81-82% of the Indian population consider themselves 'religious'. Regarding Iran, I'm not sure how the original mod files were adjusted, but I believe religious membership was quite low for an Islamic Shariah country such as Iran, so in my game I changed it to 93%. While official Iranian government data claims 100% Islamic religious population, it's highly unlikely in this day and age absolutely everyone there is highly religious. Even 90% is not realistic in real-life, but in game mechanic terms, I wanted to somehow stimulate the role of religious doctrines, Islamic law and official Islamic morals in present-day Iran, so at ~90% Religious Membership seems about right for me. Of course, goes without saying all this is purely your decision as the mod creator/developer, but I still wanted to share my thoughts and views about it.
@milenyankov90, I'll scale down India's gay marriage, also for Iran it was already 0, but I forgot that for that policy you need to remove it actually to have to be not allowed fully, it will be fixed in the next update.
As for the religious population, I also used sources on the web, but it's not that easy to just put a value sadly, it's overly complicated, or at least I haven't yet understood how to set the right value (since I haven't tried to), either way, will lower those values, and increase Iran's.
Thank you for all the feedback, don't be shy to drop more.
@AdeptusFreemanicus, To get the 'right' percentage, I fiddled with the files already added to the mod - for example Iran - 'overrides' folder, majorreligouspopulation file,
Changing the Equation value to this one above, especially the first one (0.54) seemed to do the trick. The value in the brackets also changes the overall percentage somewhat, but very negligible. I just increased/lowered as much as needed, but had to reload the 'mission' every time after changing to check the results.
For India, I tried to change values in more_religious file in 'scripts' folder but I couldn't make it work.. So I just copied the Iran majorreligouspopulation file in the India override folder and then changed it to this :
With these values, I managed to get Iran to ~97% Religious Membership and India at ~82% (as far as I remember). Of course I didn't mean to imply you haven't checked those percentages beforehand, maybe you just didn't have time to fiddle with the values enough to get them to these numbers. Also it's clear percentages like those are subjective, but like I said before, I'd like to see in my game a VERY religious Iran to simulate the Islamic regime there and a 'predominant' religious population in India to simulate the impact of the deep roots Hindu (and other) religion has on Indian society. From there, the player IMO has enough policies to change things, but it should be very difficult to uproot religion in countries like Iran or say, Pakistan.
Thanks for appreciating the feedback, as I play more countries, I'll be sure to give more info on different aspects of the mod. I'm currently playing North Korea and everything looks right so far. I also played China, Vietnam, Brazil. I think I also increased Religious percentage in Brazil (same way as above) which made an interesting voter mix and challenge, since Brazil is mostly Liberal at the start, AFAIR.
Can't wait for the new update with (hopefully) Bulgaria included! Keep up the good work!
Hi, I found several mistakes in the description of Hong Kong. The capital city of Hong Kong is not Hanoi, which is the capital of Vietnam. Technically, Hong Kong has no capital. But, its capital back then in British Hong Kong is Victoria. The largest industry in Hong Kong should be Finance and Trade.
Please add Republic of Bulgaria! I can't believe Somalia, Moldova, Serbia, Romania, Western Sahara (?), San Marino are included, but not Bulgaria! I know my country is not a big international factor but I believe it should be included and it can bring unique challenges to D4 gamers..
Aside from that, awesome mod, the best for Democracy 4!
Thanks a lot for quick reply and taking it into consideration!

Bulgaria is slated to be added in update 82.5.
Will remove Serbia from NATO. Should be part of the next update.

[override]

Equation = "0.54+(0.06*x)"
