A small disclaimer, I know leaving the rain but removing BTs would be awesome, I would love to have it too, but I have not been able to make that work. BT presence and rain are closely tied together in the game and the way the BTs disappear in this mod is because I removed the rain. In order to keep the rain I have to find an alternative way of preventing BTs from appearing.
Hey! I have the DC version but when copying the file, there are no such file and cant replace anything. When trying launching the game with the BIN file, I get an error. Anyone has the same error ? Thx!
This seems to be the best mod I've seen for this wonderful game. I've already completed the campaign, of course, and I want to chill out while playing it a second time. But will it be possible to complete the game with this mod? Towards the end you need to get caught by a BT, so that the battle can begin and you can cross the sea.
Truth is I am not 100% sure it is possible. This mod was made mainly for me to enjoy the game after I had completed it to 100%. If you do try please let me know!!
i will leave this question here, you will answer or i will answer myself after one stupid test: can this mod remove void out? *update: even when theres no bt there will still be voidout. and somehow terrorist and mules's camp is no longer respawn them
I just want a mod or something to remove void outs, the BT's and s#*! are cool but I dislike the void outs (I know it's meant to encourage you not to kill people and be a pacifist, but I don't care about that. I got bullet, I wanna use bullet on something other than BT's
i did a test, i killed all terrorist and mules in my sight and leave them there, i didnt found anything on wiki say how long it take to make them turn into bt, so i kept doing orders, its been 12 hours ingame now bur nothing yet happen, this mod sure did remove that feature
User reports stated it takes 12 in game hours and not 48. I mean I would love to use this mod for the voidouts being removed alone but I really enjoy fighting BT's at the same time
Thanks for the mod! Is it possible to remove the BT's from the rocky area on the way to Port Knot? There's probably a better spot to leave BT's that are out of the way I'd imagine.
Not exactly asking you to do it (but i mean that'd be cool), just want to know if it's possible so I can decide to get the workshop tool myself and give it a go.
I mainly decided to leave those because I personally do not play on that map (I only play on the west map)
I was going to explain an easy way to do this by yourself but while I was looking into the files to show the changes I noticed I may have not left those parts with BTs. So I have gone to that area and turns out it has no BTs!! So I now have to change the description of the mod lmao. People still have the balloon BTs to explore if they need chiralium
Hello, thanks for the response! I saw this p much immediately but forgot to respond. I did take some time to myself to try and find a method of removing PT's but preserving the rain but much like what you said I don't think it's possible.
I do have another question, if using the BIN file, can I save the original BIN and swap them whenever to turn the mod on or off or does this break stuff? I'm about to test it during my current playthrough on Chapter 3 but wanted to ask anyways.
That should work. As long as the game is not open while you swap, of course. You can even simply change the name of the unmodded BIN file and leave it in the folder next to the modded one, which means you would only have to rename them to swap. It's common to add a ,bak at the end to do something like that :)
hello~ i wanted to ask if there's a way to remove only some types of BTs? is there a config file maybe? i am a very specific case but... i am afraid of whales (yeah, i know) and i can, though it is deeply unsettling, be okay with those small dead ones on the shore but this morning i accidentally spoiled myself about THAT bossfight and i just won't be able to do it. which is very frustrating because i've been wanting to play this game since the release but didn't have a good enough PC until recently.
