UPDATE (v1.2):
Another update, and a big-ish one too! I mainly just wanted to fix some bugs I found out about
on Office and Hospital locations being bugged, making it so that the rooms become filled with
literally nothing but zombies. However, after fixing those bugs, I decided to add
and change even more stuff! Read further to see the contents of the update!

This update FIXES the following:

ZOMBO PACK:

deathforth/events/inner/shoploc.df - Made it so that the city locations "Grocery Store", "Hardware Store", "Camp Supplies Shop", "Sporting Goods Store", and "Furniture Store" contain zombies with Y'all-Mart uniforms.
deathforth/events/siege/siege2.df - Made minor text edits for certain sieges.
gfx/misc/icons16x16.png - Made new and alternate icons for the gamemodes!

THE "Console Pack" HAS BEEN RENAMED INTO THE "Technical Pack"!

This change was made in order to fit the following NEW files better:

deathforth/events/unlock/ztown-npc.df
deathforth/events/unlock/twitter.df
deathforth/charmisc.df

All 3 of these files make it so that the blue chicken (the one that offers you to check out
the links of the devs) in Zombo Town is replaced with "Mery", which would offer *my* links instead!
Now if you think this is egotistic, reminder that you can reach the exact same links of the devs
through the "News Options" in the main menu. Hope you understand!

That is all for this update! Again, despite the lengthy logs, your overall experience of the game
shouldn't really be all that affected. For the final time (at least for this update log LOL), thank
you so much for trying out this mod, and for taking the time to read all of this too! I hope you
enjoy your game. I believe this is hopefully the FINAL final version of this mod (then watch me
find like 2 bugs later LMAO).

P.S.: Reminder that not everything in this mod is *required* to be installed into your game.
Remember, the mod is separated in packs, each containing different contents.

P.P.S.: By the way! If you want to turn off the in-game news stuff in the main menu,
follow these steps:

0 - Back-up / Make a copy of the "news.df" file, located in the "news" folder, which is then located in the "deathforth" folder.
1 - Open "news.df" with a program that can enter or edit text, such as Notepad.
2 - Look for the 107th line, containing the text "0/1 news_enable!". You should see it at the bottom of the text file.
3 - To see the news, along with the in-games settings related to it, set or leave the number to 1.
- Otherwise, if you'd like remove those altogether, set or leave the number to 0.
4 - Save the file, and refresh your computer / file explorer program.
5 - Open the game.
6 - If the "news_enable!" line is set to 0, nothing related to news should appear in the main menu. The interface will also be rearranged accordingly.
- If the "news_enable!" line was set to 1, the news and its related settings should appear in the main menu. The interface will also be rearranged accordingly.

The first, and hopefully the last update for this mod! Mainly just bug fixes, but
I went ahead and added more lines to other areas of the game.

This update FIXES the following:

NEW PACK: Console Pack (OUTDATED as of v1.2)

This pack is for those who want the in-game console (where you can put in commands and stuff, mainly for devs and modders)
either on or off. The console can be turned on by pressing the ` key (located usually on the upper-left
section of the keyboard, previous to the 1 key). If you're inexperienced with manual modding/editing, or worried/scared that you
might break something, this pack's for you. Otherwise, here's some instructions on how to manually
set the console on or off yourself:

0 - Back-up / Make a copy of the "boot.df" file, located in the "deathforth" folder.
1 - Open "boot.df" with a program that can enter or edit text, such as Notepad.
2 - Look for the 12th line, containing the text "0/1 console!". You should be able to see it immediately after opening the file.
3 - To allow use of the console in-game, set or leave the number to 0.
- Otherwise, if you'd like to use the console in-game, set or leave the number to 0.
4 - Save the file, and refresh your computer / file explorer program.
5 - Open the game, and press the ` key.
6 - If the "console!" line is set to 0, nothing should happen
- If the "console!" line was set to 1, a console should pop up. To close the console, simply press the ` key again.

WHAT IS THE CONSOLE FOR?

As I've said earlier, the console is for putting in commands that can affect or do stuff in the game.
This is mainly for the developers and modders of the game, as it is used for troubleshooting and testing.
However, an average user may find use of the console, as it provides bug reports as they happen in the game.
If you find that your game is bugged, especially to the point where gameplay is affected or even halted, please,
if the console is on, it should appear by itself, reporting the bug.
Take a screenshot of your screen (by pressing the F12 key or with the Print Screen key on your keyboard), and send it to me (my social media accounts are listed at the end of this text file),
and I'll try to look into it as soon as possible.

Death Road to Canada: Bite-Sized Expansion Mod

Introduction:

Hello! wamyremy here. Thank you for downloading the mod!
The main purpose of this mod is to add more zombie heads and zombie clothing, more specifically:

- 33 New Zombie Heads!
- 18 New Clown / Joke Zombie Heads!
- 16 New Zombie Clothing! 4 of which are exclusive to Office, Hospital, Factory, and Bunker locations!

With all of those done, however, I did get a bit bored and decided to see what else I could
add for the simple mod. And that's where I just edited and added more lines / quotes / flavor text to
certain areas in the game. That is all. No new weapons, no new locations, nothing else (though I did
make the final siege just a teensy bit harder.... in a way).

The mod is separated in packs: the Zombo Pack, More Text Pack, Edited Pack, and the Technical Pack!

- The Zombo Pack includes the files, folders, and images that are required for the new zombies.
- The More Text Pack includes files that edits some but mainly adds more text to certain parts of the game, not necessarily affecting the vanilla DR2C experience.
- The Edited Pack includes the files that mildly edit the texts of certain parts of the game. The "harder" final siege is included here.
- The Technical Pack includes files that aren't necessarily anything new or crucial for experiencing the mod/game overall, but you may find use of 'em.

BEFORE ANYTHING:

Please make a copy of both your:

- Death Road to Canada game data folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\DeathRoadToCanada) (idk where the gog location would be at sorry)
- Save file (C:\Users\[YOURNAME]\AppData\Roaming\.madgarden\DR2C)

Do not continue a saved run after replacing files.
I will not be held responsible for data erasion or corruption!!!!!!!!

UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT FILES ARE AFFECTED AND STUFF, this mod is not recommended to be run with other mods installed. Please ensure that other mods are NOT in the game before doing anything else.

How to Install:

0 - Back up your game data folder and save file.
1 - Delete or move out the files that the mod can replace / overwrite. Only the game data folder is required to be messed with.
2 - Copy and paste the content you require to their respective locations. The folder(s) in the packs reflect their location in the game data folder (ex: deathforth\events\siege\siege1.df)
3 - Refresh in your computer, or your file browser, juuust to ensure the files are intact or whatever lol.
4 - Open the game through either your usual shortcut, or the "prog.exe" in the game data folder (which won't run Steam).
5 - At this point, the game 'should' open up normally. And if you can start a run no problem, then that means things are working! Enjoy!

If you can't start a game, something has gone WRONG!!!! Don't worry, just take out the modified files out, and put back the original ones. Or copy and paste your back-up game data folder (and maybe replace your save file too if things still aren't working)
If you've done everything above and STILL can't start the game, simply go to the game's page on Steam (assuming you're on Steam. sorry Gog and pirated copies) and Verify Local Files. That should fix any / every corrupted files in your current copy.
If that STILL doesn't work somehow, I'd suggest taking the L and just reinstalling the game lmfao.

+ "Are you planning to expand on this mod?"

- Probably not. That would not only take me time, which I don't really have at the moment,
I would need to ensure balancing and quality in whatever I may add.
IF I were to add more to the mod though, it would probably be new events, maybe more zombie heads,
or perhaps even new sprites for character customization :3
But for now, don't expect anything else. There's like, 2 mods that are currently out that give
