Game runs but error about windows elemental mode appears, and pressing start game or unlocks don't load me into the game. I did try to install mods alongside this one, but since then I have did clean reinstalls (removed madgarden's appdata folder, removed steamapps dr2c folder, uninstalled on steam and reinstalled), I can open the game without mods, but when I threw the folders from this mod into the game folder (correctly installing it) it shows me this log.
I can press tilde to close the log, but as I mentioned, pressing start game and unlocks unfortunately doesn't do anything. What's the problem? Or is there any info I can provide to help diagnose this?
I would highly, HIGHLY recommend NOT mixing mods. With how the game's code is structured, you would have to manually mess with a great deal of the files just to make everything play nicely. That being said, it still seems like your setup has some lingering mod files around, since that elementalmode stuff is from that other Overhaul mod iirc. Maybe you got a cloud storage problem on your computer?
This can happen for a variety of reasons. From what I've seen, you can only have like, one unique charactermod active on characters at any given time. IE if you had Sound Sleeper and also had the Fireproof charactermod on, the latter will override the former. Did something like that occur to you in your session?

This mod is incredible! I have noticed with the recent update the ZUNtory item has stopped spawning bottles whenever you swing it. I do have some suggestions for the mod.
New Items:
Boxing Gloves- Features a power 3 hit combo. Straight punch, hook, and an uppercut for a finisher. This weapon is good for fighting against some hordes of zombies.
Switchblade- A knife that gives the wielder a slight speed boost when held. Also features a fast attack speed and a chance to inflict bleeding on its targets.
Rock 'N Roll- A black electric guitar that releases a deadly shockwave around the player which deals massive damage to zombies up close and stuns all zombies from far away. Has a total of 10 charges. Once out of charges it turns into a pretty powerful melee weapon with good knockback.
Lightning Links - A prototype tesla rifle that shoots electric bolts that paralyze and electrocute zombies. The lightning can also transfer to multiple zombies nearby. Great on hordes. Has 25 charges.
"FIRE" Axe- A fire axe that is literally on fire. Provides the wielder with fire damage resistance and can ignite zombies.
Military Drone- A deployable drone that flies above the player and stays with the player till it runs out of ammo. The drone uses a machine gun to shoot at the zombies.
Gravity Hammer- A large hammer that can send multiple zombies flying across the map with each swing. If you hold down on the attack button, you can charge up a heavy attack that sends out a medium shockwave that stuns the zombies and knocks them down. This ability has a cooldown.
Meat Bait- A pack of fresh meat to lure zombies with but it has grenades attached to it.
Throwing Javelin- A large spear type weapon that can be used for long distance poking and upon holding down the attack button you can toss the javelin in a straight line in front of you and can impale multiple zombies. This ability uses a decent amount of stamina.
Brain Rot Pack- A suitcase of 10 throwable vials that can be used to turn zombies against each other. Each vial creates a medium sized purple smoke cloud upon contact with a zombie or the environment. Zombies caught in the cloud will attempt to attack kill each other.

Hey, glad you like the mod. I had the zuntory stop spawning bottles since it seems like the AI really like prioritizing them for some reason. Thanks for the weapon ideas. I had something in mind that is similar to your guitar pitch, but we'll see how it goes in the future.
Ah ok that makes sense for the zuntory change. I was also wondering if you planned on adding custom vehicles and more events to the game. I was also thinking of maybe adding a new Gacha loot crate which is a Craftsman Crate. It's a rare crate that contains buildable weapons only.
Trying to install first time playing. When I load up the game I get the Night of the Living 2views title screen, but no characters. They don't show up in loaded custom characters. Am I messing up?
The custom characters are not showing up once i downloaded the mod and applied it to the game files. Is there a step that i missed or something that I didnt add?
This is an ongoing bug with some unarmed perks, and I have no idea what's causing it. For the time being, the simplest way to fix it is to just have something in weapon slot a before the character spawns in those rooms. I'm pushing out v16b now as a bandaid of sorts to address this.
Are you attempting to use this mod with other mods? There is no elemental mode in the vanilla game, so that's why I'm asking. Combining mods seems to be impossible without extensive editing, so I would suggest not doing that.
