Hi. Beyond altering game textures with TexMod, the only other change or enhancement that can be done to the game is likely by using ReShade/SweetFX. Carinth01 uploaded their ReShade preset, and many others can be found on ReShade's website as well. You can also configure ReShade to your own preference or just use one of those presets as a base and alter it to your liking.
If you are wanting to see enhancing and altering of the actual graphical effects, such as creating animated suit textures, particle-emitting/glowing armor areas, or importing entirely customized suit mesh and weapon designs, that is not possible...sadly.
I have no idea about what may be possible in Dark Souls as I have never played that game. This TexMod re-texture mod you left this comment on is for Dead Space 3, not Dark Souls. Are you sure you are commenting in the right game? I am sure there are Dark Souls modders that would be able to answer your questions in that game's forum discussion area about what is possible to mod in that game.
wait sorry for my bad english i meant to say like how you made this retexture for dead space 3 is it possible to make hi res texture or retexture of enemies and environments?
That's ok, I understand. Thank you for going into more detail on what you were asking. I was misunderstanding but now I understand. It is possible to extract and alter every texture in the game and pack them into a TexMod skin pack file to make a high-quality texture overhaul mod. Though the textures would probably need to keep the same size or dimensions as the original (like a 512 pixel by 512 pixel image would stay that size), but they could be made to be more detailed or changed entirely.
However, it would be quite the process for someone to extract textures and then attempt to make them be more detailed and higher quality. I also can't say if all of the higher quality textures would cause performance problems or not, or if the better quality textures would even be noticeable in the game over the original ones.
Is there a specific enemy or area of the game that you think is pretty low quality that should have its textures looked at to see if it can be made to look better?
thanks for replying well god my knowledge about this game is low but well the hair of isaac for instance is so lowly detailed compared to games of that time
