As a long time reshade user, I can say this is a pretty nice preset! I tuned some things down and disabled some effects causing artifacts but that is the beauty of reshade, modularity. Now it looks both very cinematic and very clean. Thank you!
Absolutely LOVE this shader. Very atmospheric and really adds a new dimension to the horror aspect of the game. Well done. Taking it off makes things look cheesy almost. My first playthrough got bricked and I was looking for mods to fix the issue I was having but then found this s#*! and decided to do a whole new playthrough.
I love the mod.It makes me think I'm watching an alternate version of the movie Aliens Returns. I have modified the color a little so that it is not so blue, for everything else it is tremendous. thanks!!
BRO, Tenia el mismo problema que rough hasta que complemente con este mod https://www.nexusmods.com/deadspace2023/mods/5?tab=files y ya no aparecen esos recuadros que dice, quizás el problema es que falta un archivo en tu mod.
Don't listen to these comments. People forget that modding is optional and just like to get annoyed about everything and anything. They must be miserable all day or someone really hurt them.
I'm liking the preset, but I have an issue with the cinematic dof and fake fog stuff. The focal point for cinematicdof is not correctly adjusting on auto. The whole image just gets blurry. Do you know why this is happening?
Also the fake fog thing just creates strange looking squares on all surfaces, so I had to disable it for now. Any idea?
Thank you for the support. Stupid or rude comments don't bother me much; I laughed when I responded. Regarding the flaws you mentioned, I can tell you that in the next few days, I should release an updated version of the mod with a revised depth of field effect, better FPS performance, and a slight reduction in saturation to please even the little rude kids.
Just uploaded 1.1 version. Let me know if you encounter any issues with the preset. In any case, I recommend performing a clean installation of Reshade and manually deleting any possible residual files in the Dead Space .exe directory.
I'm still having issues with the fog, it only produces square artifacts. I might need to reinstall Reshade with the preset itself. AdaptiveDOF works better now, but when I move close up to something everything gets blurry and doesn't go back to normal when I back up :/ Also, the holo calls cause everything to go blurry as well.
But non the less, even without dof and fog it looks great :)
Blurring of the menu text and some portion of th Holocalls screen is a flaw I haven't fixed, and I'm not sure if I'll be able to. Otherwise, I believe the issues you reported somehow depend on something interfering with the rendering, perhaps another mod or a problem related to the display depth. Performing a clean reinstallation of Reshade might be helpful. Could you please post a couple of screenshots where the glitches are visible?
Screenshot 1 has DOF, Adaptive Fog and Reflective Bumpmapping enabled. Here you can see dof going a bit crazy already. Thought this might come from using DLSS? Here's a link to the Screenshot for full screen.
Screenshot 2 has, out of those three, only Refl Bumpmapping enabled and it causes artifacts around bright / glowing / reflecting things. Maybe this is caused by me having Film Grain enbled in the settings? Link to screenshot
Screenshot 3 has only fog enabled. The fog artifacts happens on every surface it seems, but it's more noticable in bright spots like here on the ground in front of the bottom right of the door. Also top right the dark spot on the wall. Link to screenshot
On my system equipped with an Intel Core i5 9600K and an Intel ARC A770 16GB, artifacts like those shown in your screenshots are not apparent. Aside from the bright halos caused by ReflectiveBumpmapping (which are less noticeable on my PC), the image appears quite clean. I'm not sure if the issues you're experiencing are related to using DLSS. I don't use upscaling technologies with Dead Space on my PC. The Intel ARC doesn't support DLSS, so I can't personally verify the problem. I tried activating FSR 2.0 instead, and in the higher-performance modes, it does produce artifacts in some areas somewhat similar to those visible in your images. However, I would tend to exclude this as the cause, as DLSS is known to be more efficient than FSR and produces significantly higher-quality images. If you're playing in 4K, try using a resolution of 1080p. I can't test the game in 4K, so I don't know if that's the reason.
Hm, yeah I'm playing on 1440p, I'll try to disable DLSS and check if it's better on 1080p. Maybe some effects need to be separately tuned for other resolutions.
Or maybe, since you're using an intel arc GPU (that's the intel GPUs right?) that's the reason. I'm on a Nvidia card and it might just behave differently.
EDIT: No dice, no idea why it's happening, but whatever. Even without those 3 effects it still looks great. Thanks for trying to help :)
I'm sorry that we couldn't get the preset to work correctly. It would be interesting to hear some other opinions to understand if these issues are also experienced by other users.

Other than that, I could see some of my ingame settings messing with reshade, like having DLSS enabled or the in game film grain.

Christ this is horrific. You just blew out the bloom, made everything way too blue, and cranked chromatic abberation to 250%...
