This page will be a hub for all of my texture mods for DS2. I'll upscale only the suits, since DS2 already uses HQ textures for almost everything you can see. -----
Instructions: 1. You will need a .tpf file, which is a file containing all the edited textures. 2. Once you have your mod file and TexMod downloaded, unzip and run TexMod.exe. 3. Click the big folder icon in the Target Application section and select Browse. 4. Find your Dead Space 2 folder and select your deadspace2.exe. 5. Switch to Package Mode (should be default). 6. In the Select package section press the small folder icon and find the .tpf file(s) you want to use and select it. 7. Once all the mods you wish to run are in the list, press Run and the game will launch.
Important: Set the anisotropic filtering settings (or whatever texture filtering is called in your GPU driver app) to max, as the game doesn't have this setting in the options. -----
If DS2 keeps crashing and/or stuttering - use "4GB Patch" and try DXVK. Also try ISLC if you're low on RAM (4GB or less), as the AIO version may have some serious stutters (I'm talking about 5-7 seconds mid-cutscene or between rooms) without it. There should be no problem with my 4K mods if your PC can run the unmodded game at max settings in 720p/60fps.
You may also need to disable the borderless window mode, which is default. You can find how to do it bellow: https://steamcommunity.com/app/1693980/discussions/0/3770110614228295934/.
Some additional info: The AIO version may take some time to boot up, can cause stutters on low-end PCs and may cause some textures (including the vanilla ones) to display incorrectly or to not display at all.
