This is a fairly straightforward approach to getting Ray Tracing to modernize a fantastic game until we get a remaster for Dead Space 2. This mod uses ReShade, but you have to purchase the RTGI plug in for $5 so on Patreon so that it will work. There are currently no known open-source RTGI mods I am aware of. The steps are provided.

This is for gamers with a fairly modern and powerful enough computer and CPU that can handle Ray Tracing via the ReShade engine. I created this configuration no problem on an Nvidia 3080 and getting 100+ fps, so if you are using an Nvidia 2080, 1080 or AMD equivalent this may cause enough FPS reduction that you may end up passing on it.
