EDIT: When I enable the preset it reduces my gpu usage down to like 60% at 30fps. wtf?

How can we have this when you're using completely different preset with different effects? Even the name is different. Nothing is wrong with our installation, these are just two different presets. I guess (and hope), that you just forgot to update the file, which is from january 31. All your screenshots were uploaded in the middle of april.

Hope to see this updated soon, because it looks really amazing.

It's a mistake (bad screenshot, it comes from Dead space 2 ^^). You should have this for Dead Space 1

Cant get this working, although I have installed Reshade many times before.
After install, Reshade menu opens but mouse wont move.
    Anyone else?

nb: Using Reshade 4.9.1 and Origin.
During install, after choosing path to game location, it goes immediately to 'effects to choose', instead of 'pick the correct' api.
However D3d9.dll and reshade folder, are all there in the correct dir so should work ok.
    Any help appreciated...

      Hey ianc4ever

If I remember correctly, try pressing ALT+ENTER to switch to windowed mode, you can use the mouse to configure the reshade menu. Then you can switch to full screen mode with ALT+ENTER again.

      Guess what.
The problem was 'Origin In game'. That damn Origin overlay.
I Disabled Origin in game, and it worked immediately.    Amazing what a fresh mind can do after a nights sleep.

Your Reshade looks amazing, and Dead Space didnt really appeal to me without it. Thanks so much, cos I know how long it takes to come up with a good Reshade look.

Hey bro I installed everything fine, followed your instructions and everything installed perfectly. Just one problem is that now I'm getting capped at 25 fps even with v sync off. Without your mod it would run close to 130 fps. Any fixes? Frameratelimiter.fx is disabled btw, I already checked

Hey. Really don’t Know why (I dont have this problem :s)

try to deactivate reflectivebumpmapping, fxaa and smaa, and ssr. Look if you FPS increase.

Try to Disconnect origin from dead space when you play it in origin settings.

Disabling everything you said (except for the disconnect origin) brought the FPS from 25 up to 48. Now it only fluctuates from 39-48 instead of 25-30. It is weird because without this mod game runs over 200 fps. I guess all of these settings could bog it down but it doesn't really make much sense because my pc is a beast in newer games

Yes it’s very strange. I have a medium settings (gtx1080) and it works well. I gonna make a performance settings .ini next week. Check during next week for my update.

Yeah I'm on high settings with a RX 5500M which runs Gta 5 at 100 fps (max settings) and red dead redemption 2 at 50 fps (Ultra & high). I just find it weird how this shader which only really makes the game darker & a bit better looking takes such a toll on performance. I would play the game through with this shader but performance is so bad that I would rather run vanilla at 200 fps

I just repuloaded a new version (with some optimizations). You need to copy/paste the reshade-shader folder into your game directory (overwrite the previous one), and test all the .ini. (It will be available in few minutes).
Hope it will be better for you.

I have the same problem with the FPS.
I switch your ReShade on, against the FPS from 60 to 30. If I switch off Reshade, I have 60 FPS again.

In your "Alone in Space.ini" there is also a value of 60 FPS for "[FramerateLimiter.fx]": "Framerate = 60.000118".

What is it now? The FPS halving is somehow related to your ReShade.

Thank you for your prompt reply.
I had already deactivated vsync, that doesn't seem to be the problem.
In-game I set the refresh rate (to the right of the resolution) back to 120Hz. Now I have almost 60 Hz again.

The Vsync option in the game limits the frame rate to half the monitor refresh rate (in full screen mode, otherwise it acts as a 30 FPS limit).
Disable it and force Vsync externally. This is the only way I know of to solve this problem... I have no other options for you, sorry.

For blurry effect, you can disable it by deactivate the effect : Tilt_shift.fx (x2) in Reshade Menu.

    Greetings,
I have installed the reshader and your mod. Everything seems to work and I get the overlay in the game but pressing Home doesn't seem to do anything.
I changed the text file so that M was the key to finish the installation but but nothing happens.
Also tried and re-install and same issue, it looks like it's all set up fine but doesn't finish the install when pressing home.
