Hi, I don't know which files those mods change, so there isn't any way for me to know if they will work with my mod or not. I guess the only thing you can do is open both pak files and check the files inside the archives yourself. If there's no conflicts, it should work just fine. If there are conflicting files, you would need to merge the changes between them.
I'm sorry, but could you make the same mod just for the original version of the game? Now I'm going through the original, I really need this mod to quickly complete the Challenges. Thank you!
I already played through the whole game with this mod and didn't get any of that. How would increasing zombie density break doors? GL fixing that though.
I've noticed the folder is "DIR" which is Dead island riptide right? So is this not compatible with Dead Island definitive edition?
Edit: Ignore that, I was looking at the riptide version by accident. Looks like I've managed to get it working as long as it remains it's own Data3.pak. I've made my own mod changes to certain things like extra stamina etc and I merged this mod to be part of the Data0.pak, which possibly caused it to crash? I'll need to do more testing
Can confirm that trying to merge this mod with the "Data0.pak" file will make the game crash. For any readers, make sure you specifically use the "Data3.pak" file that the mod creator provided.
For future reference, any files changed should end up in Data3.pak. This is the "unofficial" mod file that should contain all the changes for the game, because it acts like a patch file that overrides the other DataX.pak files. Glad you got it working.
I initially tried installing all of my modded files inside of Data3.pak as per the suggestions of other mod creators but for some reason the game would always crash on the splash screen much like Nyctoignis in this comment section is saying.
Due to this I eventually learned how to create and merge mods via Data0.pak and all of the mods so far work perfectly fine via this method. Except for the more zombies mod specifically, and I have no idea why.
Well both of my mods for these games edit the map files which are in Data2.pak. You can't add them to Data0 because it won't have any effect, I don't know if that could cause the game to crash though.
This is why using Data3 is preferred, because all of your changes can be included in the one pak file, and it keeps the original paks intact. I have no idea why the game only crashes for some people, but I'm inclined to believe it's some issue on their end.
OMG thank you so much for this! I've been dying for a harder challenge in DI. I was tired of only seeing like 5 walkers in one area of a MASSIVE resort!
If you can't I'll understand but is there any chance you could make a Day Night cycle? even if its just for one map? Either way THANK YOU!!! :D
Someone made a day/night cycle mod for the original Dead Island, which could probably be ported, but I won't be looking into it for now. You might also be able to port something similar from Dying Light.

I know it has been a while, but I would like to know if this mod is compatable with the following mods:
"Essential Fix removes most Blur Bloom Glow Lens Flare Chromatic Aberration Sun Rays and has tweaked Field of View and Movement"
by SoyBoyDeluxeMod
and
"Skills Leveling and Gameplay Overhaul - DIDE"
by TheFlayer
Please let me know,
Thank you.
