Actually I don't know what all the comments are talking about, the RTGI setting is a bit janky out of the box (shimmers too much) but it's quite easy to get the setting right if you know how to adjust the parameters. (You have to make sure the z-depth is reverrsed (i.e. to 1) and then use the "Lighting" radio button so you see the raytracing shading in black and white, and adjust the parameters to taste.)
But even without the RGTI, this is one of the best, if not the best, slightly desaturated "realistic" looking Reshades out there. The Basic setting is kind of hyper-real, especially on sunny days, you can almost feel the clear, crisp air, especially if you look at the mountains in the distance, and Deek's skin, which is usually problematic in the "realism" types of Reshades, actually looks good. It's just a good all-round "realistic" look without being too bleak. Vivid's a bit too bright and colourful, and Dark is too bleak, but Basic is top notch for my tastes.
Generally the out-of-the-box graphics for this game are brilliant, with maybe one of the mods that tweak it (I use the "Ultra" one), but I find myself using this quite often for a change now.
That's a thing with how Reshade handles RTGI and brings it into the game, not the config itself. Tbf RTGI is more meant for screenshots than actual gameplay, while other effects are meant for gameplay
Man, that's just extreme contrast and sharpness, it kills the overall gamma of the image. From the perspective of a professional designer with 20 years of experience, it's just a terrible idea. The first idea of all newbies to image processing is to make it more detailed through the manifestation of detail. But in real processing, it's more important to put the right accents and to show strengths while hiding flaws. Also I have to mention that taking on this kind of task from a non-calibrated display is like trying a dish with your ear instead of your mouth, to check if it's salty.
Dude, what the f*** is going on with this reshade? I'm on a RTX 3080, i9 10850k, 32GB RAM. I'm also using the paid Patreon Reshade_GI_Beta_0.22_CS.zip. All graphics maxed on a 1440p monitor, non-4k. I'm using the Vibrant setting.
FPS from main menu is 191 without reshade FPS from main menu is 105 with reshade
have not tried it yet but by just looking at the pics, this is by far the reshade here for this game... makes everything more clear, the desaturation make everythink looking more end time and gives darkness to the nights... good job
all the other reshades are so f*#@ing saturated, the colors are totally messed up...

WTF
* Expects it to not impact performance *
2. Use "very high" (or beyond) settings for the game's lighting, it already has native SSGI.
thinking is rare nowadays...
