Great work - game needs some serious pc modding love - I assume on console with aim assist and players being used to console crippling its a different story but we're not on console...
Cant wait to see the hold button crap obliterated back to normal "press ?" and the intended action executed as and when selected. eg item picked up, healing item applied, on bike NOW etc I know the game is designed around making you panic over your choices (ie frantically waste bullets, or over swing your melee weapon as the zeds appears to make another lunge at you when in fact it's their final death throw etc but there's good choices and un-fun choices in game development. Holding a button is an "un-fun" game development choice, always has been.
Thanks for this - I do hope to see many more "fun" tweaks / QOL mods from those capable :)
you are able to set a toggle(open) key for the items wheel along side a hold(open) key. Also you can switch between the 3 weapons just as fast by using mouse scroll wheel up and down.
I think op is referring more to the overuse of all the actions in gameplay which require the user to hold E. Like everything not related to combat or movement is executed by holding down some button.
Quick question do the weapons still automatically holster with this MOD? Can you please create an addition removing this auto-holster mechanism and a button to drop any unwanted weapons (melee, primary or special)
first, congratulations on the mod. But I won't go down. I just came to warn you that, not if you or others know, but if you roll the mouse wheel forward, Deek equips the sniper weapon ... which makes me think that if I just need to worry about primary or secondary weapons, the pressing 1 or 2 would be the same as the ALT kkkk. at least by pressing the numbers, I know which weapons I'm equipping and I don't depend on a cycle. But congratulations on the work you did, I know it's not easy to do.
Great job with this mod. I also got a suggestion (not sure if it's possible) to make aim for all the weapons instantly or aleast faster narrow. Yea I hate the aiming system in the game that Im forced to use Focus, which I dont want to use, because then the aiming feels like cheating, I mean I want to learn to aim good in real time. Anyways all the best man.
