Yeah, this mod doesnt really work, i even burnt a nest right near a horde and just as they started running over, they got bored and started walking away. This was with a new game too.
Yeah, unfortunately there are no installation instructions in this mod - so I ain't touching this, and even if I were - I wouldn't know where to begin. Seems a real shame as well - a lot of your mods seem GREAT and I really wanted to try them.
C:\Users\(whatever your name is on the PC)\AppData\Local\BendGame\Saved drop the cooked folder into here and you're done. Same goes for any mod that isn't a P.pak
Okay - I'll have an experiment with that. Different games have different ways of modding them. It's just putting something as simple as your reply in the description would save a lot of bother and I'm sure it didn't take you long to write it either.
I did what you say and dropped that folder into that saved folder and nothing happens. Since when ever do you instal a mod like that? Google it? Honestly in the last 10 years i have never seen such a bad explained modded game as days gone. Like literally 5 different mod authors and they all explain literally s#*! and half the mods don't work because of it.
There's two ways to install mods in DG depending on the type of mod. First is through %localappdata%/bendgame/sfpaks(change the name). For any and all pak mods just drop them in there, mods like this one require the entire folder titled "cooked" to be dropped there. There are other mods that need to be installed via programfiles/steam/steamapps/common/bendgame/paks, if thats the case the mod author would specify but Ive only had to install one that way. Hope that helps.
Hi, I'm not sure if your mod is the cause or not but after installing I notice I barely see hordes anymore. It also doesn't feel like they have increased awareness when I do come across them. Not sure how to fix it. Could be a conflict but I'm not sure what it would be. I installed the cooked files to C:\Users\Name\AppData\Local\BendGame\Saved. I'm pretty sure I did it right but could be wrong. Any guidance offered would be appreciated!
C:\Users\Name\AppData\Local\BendGame\Saved\Cooked If it's in this location then it's correct. I also tried this mod out and it doesn't seem to make any difference.
I regret saying this mod doesn't work, it 100% does but not until you reach Hot Springs. I just went and burned one of the nests near the lake in Hot Springs close to the cave with the big horde and they all came sprinting out towards the nest, it takes them about 20 to 30 seconds but if you install the faster and scarier horde mod they get there within 10 and they're very fast. I also installed Deadly By Night and that mod also seems to work great if you installed the cooked version. Glad I finally got this mod and many of Vore's other mods to work together. Thanks a lot for these great mods Vore.
