UPDATE 1/19/2023 Sorry for my inactivity folks, I had some real life stuff make things difficult for modding. Like most other Authors I am attempting to move to a different region and apart from other things like School I will not be allocated as much time to mod Days Gone as I'd like to by my estimates. As you've all probably seen there was more updates again with the game and I'd have to redownload and unpack the latest files to make them compatible once more "FML ROFL" but worry not it's not abandoned. I'm simply trying to get things out of the way and I don't have as much time to mod it as often as I do. However, it is open for anyone to mod themselves, you just have to credit me and the people that need to be credited like always if you use my files for that. I'll be happy to tell you what you need to know if you need help in that endeavor especially for aspiring modders. I will try to see if the updates break anything recently myself however and push some fixes when I can. You've all been wonderfully helpful in aiding in the balancing and gameplay fixes! Especially to those who supported the mod and endorsed it! It's thanks to you that I was able to spread my crazy edits for all to enjoy!
hey is there anyway that i can use this mod with "shotgun on special slot" mod? i really want the shotgun to become more viable on my loadout and use your weapon tweaks at the same time. i know you're busy right now but is there a way?
Well. It's been a while so I'm not so sure. Do a hard save before you install the Shotgun in Special Slot, actually for any mod I'd hard save before I'd start screwing with anything. If nothing is janked then it should work just fine. Uninstall should be relatively safe too last I checked myself but that could be different for some people.
EDIT: Read the "Incompatibilities" part of the mod overview on the main page. So no, probably not but it's worth a try after HARD saving your game.

Well is there anything wrong with it currently? Like any bugs or something? I'm a bit busy with school and s#*! but if there really is something janked I can try to give some time to fix it. The 1.0 release I had something planned like adding a radial menu for different shotgun shell as a prototype for switching ammo types but uh...... I got other things I have to prioritize lol. The radial menu IS currently in game and can be accessed with a particular weapon, but I was drawing up how it was doing it, and what I need to do to modify it, and the estimated time to thoroughly test the damn thing. Feel free to leave more feedback too!
There's nothing particularly wrong with it. I just want to use your weapon tweaks together with holstering weapon on bag. Is that an easy fix? Can u fix it?
Should be, all you have to do is merge my edits with the position of the weapon from the other mod but that's a lot of guns you're going to have to reposition. I currently am busy with University right now but if you ask the mod author for the other mod maybe he'll be able to do it. Modding Daysgone can be tricky at times but when you get it down it becomes not really trivial but its the testing that gets problematic. On this page I will officially give permission to make any merged file if you're going to ask them so long as the authors give credit where credit is due. If not I'm sorry but I have priorities until I get like a Holiday or something, no promises.
You would have to consult with another modder who's good at asset models. I only edit the files but it is possible, just uh pretend it holds 30 rounds for now. They may have to splice their mod files with mine which if that's the case I give my permission to use my files so long as they credit me for the weapon edits and vice versa.
With how real life is with me not likely at the moment, but perhaps in a few months when I get settled down I can finally finish the 1.0 release once I get the time to extensively test the changes again, but hopefully the game won't update and break the files for now like my ammo increase mod. I won't have access to internet or my computer for a while. :]
Heya, probs related to the update that mucked up a lot of stuff but it seems that any weapon that got a magazine buff still has the old ammo reserve. This is on a new game on hard difficulty. The starter pistol, SAF and .22 repeater has the new increased magazine size but is still on the old 20, 50 and 15 ammo reserve respectively. Seems like a fun mod though! It's a shame the game devs did such a lazy job balancing weapons though, giving the .22 repeater 15 extra rounds when other assault rifles get hundreds is insane, makes no sense from a gameplay balance or realism perspective, just totally makes anything other than assault rifles in primary useless.
Huh LOL, this edit only changes gun attributes not ammunition reserves. My other mod used to but BENDGAME Studios keeps bending the goddamn game files that make it frustrating to make it work. Back in 2022 my ammo reserves was working if you can rolled back to a previous update but that's not likely. So yes, ready ammunition has changed but the ammo capacity is uh...... well yea No. That won't work.
Yes, the reticules yes I did change reticules, and for the Backpack mod it should work if that is a texture file not a weapon file. If it makes weapon changes of any kind then it won't work with my mod.
Have you downloaded it and tried? You can form your own opinion afterwards and safely uninstall this. No need to get on the fence. You can balance it out by installing more hordes and upping the difficulty. Although I'm still troubleshooting my increased ammo mod since they buggered things up in the September update.
f*#@ it, new minor update! I've got some time to try and fix my mods here. Will add other update to change shotguns and some SMGs next. Snipers will be later as I'm still trying to determine if I can really changed what kind of ammo they have. Hehe.

Lol, I already have it out there's the issue that the September update broke some things inside of it. I'm busy as hell right now with work so I'm slowly updating one part at a time with what time I have. I constantly have to restart the game's campaign fresh to see if anything is out of whack. The debug menu helps but it takes a long time just to test a major change. I'm just thinking I should just push out the original to see if its that broken like my ammo mod.
