This mod introduced some bugs where NPC would just stand doing nothing instead of having animations for activity in camps, restoring sfpaks and removing the mod fixed the issue. I also don't recommend the mod

    Done everything as instructed :
The intro videos went off, but now it takes even more time to get to the start menu.
On top of that, ALL the in-game loading screens are now twice as long.

    Uninstalled, don't recommend.

There are clothing mods that uses files from the sfpaks folder. It seems some mods want to rename that folder and the others want files from it. Have been trying to combine both but cant lol. Oh well i guess give up on those mods.

Only shaved 2 seconds off startup time. I think it just removes movies but still takes the same to load.

For some reason this mod makes loading times much worse for me. It take over 1 1/2 min just to reach the "press any key" screen. Removed the mod and standard loading with intros much faster.

    Thanks for the update!

I'm confused by your path to paks, BendGame\Content\Paks?
Something might have changed and I missed it. I have more than 10 mods installed with paks and they all install to
    BendGame\Saved\Paks.

    Could you please confirm, thanks.

Hello! first of all, thanks for the content

Would it be possible to skip the skinning animation (after hunting an animal, such as a deer or wolf)?

The same with the animation of collecting plants. And the same with the animation in the vehicles (look at trunk and hood).

In the first case, the animation is useless (it does not show anything as it does in Red Dead Redemption, for example). In the second case, at least you can see something.
When you collect 20 times it is cool, but when you have already 100 ...

You don't need to do this, you can just delete the video files here for the same effect, and save a small amount of space:

    SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Days Gone\BendGame\Content\Movies

I think you mean, we DON"T need to delete files, when we can just use this. Yes, I'm sure that's what you meant.

The issue with deleting the movie files is that it won't survive an update or you verifying your files, steam will just add them back, this method does not have this issue.

The only way an update will re-add the files is if they had to modify the videos in the patch, or if you verified your files, which idk why you'd ever need to do that.
For example, there was a patch today and it didn't re-add the video files.

might be wrong about the update part then, but after some testing, verifying game files will replace or re-add the movie files unless you do some computer magic to fool steam that I don't know of

Zach, I'm sorry but your suggestion is only a worse way to accomplish the same goal. And there are many reason why you'd want to verify files. I've done it a ton over the years, especially when modding a game. GJ OP, you clearly made the right choice with the config file!
