So I have a question: will installing mods for the Remastered version get me softbanned? Been hearing some horror stories and would rather avoid getting flagged for removing the ring effects and such. Being a sunbro is the best feeling and I'd rather not limit the pool of people I can be summoned by.
I am attempting to download the NPC and Enemies pack. However, it halts at .5 of 1.1GB and is stuck on "Resuming". I am using Chrome browser. Unsure why I can't get the download to continue. Any help would be great
After same headache by this error I explored this reason: mod creators just puts their files in .zip without any folder structure and right file name for: Remastered verison requirements. Seems this is some old mods and perhaps(?) it works fine for: Prepare To Die or vanilla versions.
Thats why for Remastered version NEED CREATE the folders in TextureOverride - parts/chr/facegen and etc. AND set right name to file and convert the format (for textures need save .png to .dds via some paint.net/photoshop). Like for change the texture of Hollow body, need put this in: Texture Override\parts\Common_Ghost and change file name and convert to FG_m_face_org_M_d.DDS instead of just put some 06355798.png to Texture Override... Only after this DSR Packer will succesfully repack these files in .dcx format.
The problem is: players dont know in which folders must be these mod-files and which names they must have. And why players still gets this error: THEY DONT KNOW ABOUT DIFFERENT MOD INSTALLING REQUIREMENTS between these game versions. Since this site and other resources keeps old and new mods in same category - nothing says about this difference...
But if we do Unpack the game files, then we can know the exact folder and file names and then fix some old mods for work on Remastered.
if it says Checking 0 files for repacking... Repacked 0 textures in 0 files! make a folder named Steam and inside it steamapps and inside it common then paste the game there. it should be like this (D:\Steam\steamapps\common\DARK SOULS REMASTERED) note: (D:/) is my selected drive for the game
This happens when you are trying to overwrite a previously overwritten file in TPUP. When using multiple mods altering the same files, you need to restore the game back to original and combine the mods prior to using TPUP to repack.
I got this with DSR 2020 Remaster and several other mods. Had to restore whole game to stock, make a mod amalgamation with all the files I wanted overwritten then repack them in sub-3GB groups.
You can't overwrite modded files with modded files.
this specific file didnĀ“t work for me. For anyone having some error message shown, try this other file: https://github.com/JKAnderson/DSR-TPUP/releases/tag/1.5
