Could you possibly make a version that's just the PtDE bonfire and fog doors? I'd love to play with as many of the original version's effects as possible.
What is required and what is optional? If I only install the Mod_RT_Complete, the fog walls get half transparent half "vanilla DSR". I don't want the particle effects 1.9 , but I want the "native mod" fog wall. Where is it? Why are some of the files inside the 'sfx' folder invisible or completely transparent? Because that's what it's doing. Also, when you rest in bonfire, there are also textures made transparent...
Found a bug in particles effects version 1.9. In Blighttown in bottom during running on swamps dust effect on swamp water looks like dark square. In version 1.8 dust from swamp run is black but don't square. I think just wrong color in 1.8. But in 1.9 it's broken.
And what abot this: 1. Why effects on hero from equipment with mod is weaker then vanilla? F.e. green stamina regeneration effect from GRASS CREST SHIELD is not so visible as on vanilla and no green particles around hero. Imho these effects looks more beautiful on vanilla. 2. Soul orbs with things on the ground is less blue colorized in mod then in vanilla. So as consuming souls from died enemies effect. These effects is more white with mod.

This mod works individually with the game without other particle mods If you combine it with the particle mod you will have bugs, I could fix it so that both work but I am short on time and this mod didn't get much attention so I will leave it here.
