I ripped the PointLightBank parameter out of each of the DrawParam files and disabled the effect in default_DrawParam.parambnd.dcx with ParamVessel. The result is the player light is completely disabled. As of version 2 I have carefully edited each DrawParam file to remove the player light from every location in the game. If you find any I've missed, besides the DLC areas (which are currently unaffected), please let me know.
This will make certain parts of the game much harder depending on your brightness settings. Catacombs and Tomb of the Giants are basically impossible without cast light.
I have also provided an optional version that is compatible with Sborges98's Dark Souls Visual Overhaul mod. The files contained within this version are composed of Sborges98's assets alongside my minor changes. As such, I credit them as the original author.

Drop the 'param' folder into your game folder where DarkSoulsRemastered.exe is.
