anyone have tips for 4 kings? firstly my current fastest runback is from f-ing andre, so not sure if im missing a bonfire, or the valley of drakes key, idk, but im also having trouble living in the actual boss lol
the mod is ok, i like the idea of it. but certain design choices make it unplayable for me. bleed and poison are annoying, certain enemies casting TWOP on you for just hitting you is very cheap and offers basically zero counterplay. if i get hit and TWOP'd, im just dead. no counter. not fun.
that and every projectile having 3 of itself is an interesting design choice but i dont agree with every single enemy having the triple effect. it should have been only select enemies that have the triple shot. sorcerers cursing you and shooting 3 is stupid design. this mod seems to think that more = harder, but its a really one dimensional way to balance something and makes playing it unsatisfying.
As a final note, if you are considering this mod, I would recommend downloading and giving it a try anyway. it is fairly fun but certain balance elements made me decide to uninstall.
Bruh this is literally how it is supposed to be, look into the other Ascended mods, it also states this is an unfair/hard mod and if you don't like it then don't play it...
idk if it messed up when downloading but nothing about this is hard, vanilla placements only half of the enemies actually have buffs, starting gear is OP of the bat if nothing else hits hard, its all just buffed hp bars which doesnt add any difficulty, seen vids of way better version of the same mod so i must be missing something
Hey, the m18_01_00_00.msb mentioned in the installation guide is missing from the current mod download. Is this intentional? It might be good to update the description to 18_00 instead if it's intentional, but the tutorial works just fine, it's just all placed as if it were vanilla, with only the entities themselves changed.
Also, the speedbuff to the character just disappears once you dequip the helmet, no matter what kind it is. Only the helmet too. I don't mind it, but wondered if you were planning to put the speedbuff as default to the character so I can play with equip weight just a bit easier. Thank you for your time!
Unplayable. The Undead Asylum door just shuts as soon as it opens and blocks you out. Played months ago with no issue, now I get soft locked whenever I try to go to the first boss.
This mod doesn't make the game harder to play. Everything in this mod is made to be as irritating as possible. You are basically against dumb enemies with giant health bars and obnoxious attacks which include twop, bleed, toxin, poison and HIGH stagger.
You can still just cheese absolutely everything if needed, which is what a hard mod should remove as on option. No instead this mod makes the main character insanely overpowered by the midgame. To counteract this the mod gives everything tons of hp. It really isn't fun.
So I've been playing a bit. I think my dex character is sorta softlocked, I'm stuck before bridge demon because the channelers keep cursing me. Anyway, I made a second character, a sorcerer. I'm at the depths and have 5k health and giga health regen. I'm practically invincible, so yeah, the balancing isn't the greatest. but I've been having a good time, it's certainly a different experience than regular dark souls. Every thing is cranked up to truly insane values.
