The Frayed Blade is now once again the exquisite katana it once was!

The frayed blade is my favorite weapon in Dark Souls 3. I was never a fan of the original model of the weapon so when I learned that you could now mod Dark Souls 3 I made a model replacement. The blade length is the same as the Frayed Blade so it's just slightly shorter than the Chaos Blade.

This just changes out the existing model of the frayed blade using Mod Engine. All the files including the model, textures, and file set up are my creation.

Install: Just place the contents of the file into your parts folder.

Skymoon: Skymoon made a video on youtube on how to import a 3D model into Dark Souls 3. This video gave me a very good starting point in which to learn the basics of how to get a model into the game. The video was aimed at character models and I still needed to learn a lot about getting my weapon into the game but without this video, as a starting point, it would have taken me way longer.

TKGP: Without the mod tool Yabber by TKGP this mod and many others like this would not be possible or at least by people like me. So thank you very much to TKGP for all that you do. 

Daemon1: Daemon1 made a file unpacker for Bloodborne .flver files. This tool also works on Dark Souls 3. This tool allowed me to get a file conversion of the .flver into .smd. The .smd files worked very well in Blender with the use of a plugin. The files outputted from this tool made it possible for me to figure out what other items I needed with my model to get it to work in-game.

Forsakensilver: Made the mod tool Flver_Editor. This tool much like the other tools on here is the only reason why modders like me can do what we do. This tool was instrumental in allowing me to get my mod into the game. 

The people behind Blender: Blender is such an amazing 3D tool and I still can't believe that it is free. Though I like to do my modeling in Maya (only because I know where all the buttons are), Blender allows me to use software plugins that make it easier for me to mod games like Dark Souls with easy-to-use and free plugins. 

FromSoftware and Namco Bandai Games: I love the Dark Souls games and without this company, we would not have this marvelous game.
