Is there any way to make this work with Mod Engine 2? As far as I can see, there's no way to add the last line to modengine.ini as the file doesn't exist in Mod Engine 2.
+1, also wondering this this is possible. I have been trying to figure out if getting a functional folder structure and .ini format is possible with mod engine 2, but no luck
tried using the cheat engine version since I don't think this is compatible with mod engine 2 anymore, but couldn't get that version to work either. for some reason when loading the table, I can't enable "RallyMod" to be active. the most I can do is check off "HealthChangeHook"
I know a lot of people are having issues getting this mod to work, and unfortunately I don't think this is a solution, BUT I have gotten this mod to work in the Archthrones mod, using Mod Engine 2.
Archthrones has a folder called "dllMods" where you need to put Rally.dll and .ini.
You MUST downpatch to 1.15 using the patch found here: https://soulsspeedruns.com/darksouls3/crash-fix
This gives me hope that there IS a way to load this with Mod Engine 2 in the vanilla game.
EDIT: This method works with just plain Lazy Load, so you can use this in the 1.15 version of the vanilla game.
The health steal modifier seems to only affect the amount of health received per hit. I'm still able to steal more than the initial damage i took, meaning i can heal to full health even if i was already missing some before taking damage. Not a huge deal if you set the modifier low enough, but it's kinda exploitable.
Hello, I'm using the cheat engine version of the mod, because the other cause some minor bugs with champion of ashes, but it require me to always start it up manually when i launch the game, is there a way to just make it permanent so i don't have to always open the cheat engine and scan for ds3 ?
Otherwise it's awesome, having a blast rocking the logarius wheel with this mod :)
The DLL version is intended to be the permanent solution. Because of the anticheat in DS3 rally mod must frequently reapply its changes, so it can't truly be permanent. If you'd like to describe the bugs you're experiencing I might be able to assist with that though.
Basically if modengine is already set to HoodiePatcher, inside hoodiepatcher's settings there's another ChainDInput, just link the rally mod to that (or any other dll settings for that matter, they should have another chain input in there.)
hey, thanks for adding this mod, but i'm kinda lost i dont understand how to use the CheatTable or where to add the command lines, can anyone help me please?
yes, i'm using cinders. i just dont know where to add the LifeStealMod values ?HealthStealModifier(Hero), and where to Activate/Freeze "HealthChangeHook"
Assuming you're using the cheat table for Cheat Engine you shouldn't need to add any values, simply edit the ones present. if the values read as ?? it make sure you have the script itself enabled(Like This?) after the script is enabled you will want to check the changehook ?so DS3 doesn't overwrite the memory edit.
I haven't implemented LifeStealMod as a dll yet so make sure you aren't using that at the same time (dll prevents the cheat table script from working).

By default it should be set to .75 meaning steal 75%.

chainDInput8DLLPath="\HoodiePatcher.dll"
Can I add something here to have modengine also read the rallymod.dll as well?
