So renaming DINPUT8.dll brought the saves back. How can I use this without starting a new game? Also I was using -DS3NoLogoMod_v1.15b- which uses the same dll. Any idea how to use both? Thanks.
One of modengine's features is to use alternate saves, which when enabled, will make your previous, unmodded saves not load and instead create new saves under a new file format. You can disable this feature in the configuration file of modengine.
You stated that you renamed dinput8.dll, which completely disables modengine and thus any mod you are using with it. In that case, unless you wish to manually inject the mod files into the game files (which I do not personally recommend), please rename it back to dinput8.dll and change the required settings if you would like your old saves back. Please bear in mind that this brings the risk of getting banned, as the modded saves will be sent to the Dark Souls servers when you play online and this can be subject to a ban depending on what mods you are using. This mod is one of the less risky ones in terms of getting banned, but if you do not wish to get banned, please exercise caution.
