While I still look at Mod Engine occasionally and fix bugs when I find them, I have mostly moved on to other dark souls related modding projects and don't check Nexus that often. I tried method "1" and it worked(16 Apr. 2024). Try starting with the included "launchmod_darksouls3.Bat" file. "dinput8.dll" is not required.
So Im having a problem with the game opening for 3 seconds, then closing itself when the modengine is installed. Without this the game works fine. I have downgraded the exe to 1.15, but the problem still persists. I have tried alot of s#*! like running the game as administrator, and antivirus exceptions to no avail. Any help would be appreciated

Why is this nexusmods page not receiving updates if the mod author is still updating it on github?? So many people must be confused about what to do for latest steam ver of DS3...
Neither of them work for me. Using the 1.15 exe results in the game closing shortly after launching it. Using ModEngine2 idk if I'm doing something wrong, but my mods do not get applied.
The install instructions on this nexus page says to put 'dinput8.dll and modengine.ini' into the game folder, but when I downloaded the updated version off of github, there's a bunch of stuff in the folder, but not those 2 files so I can't update my mods.
THIS MOD NO LONGER WORKS, NO MATTER WHAT ANYONE DOES. DS3 WAS UPDATED AFTER THIS MOD CREATOR DROPPED THIS MOD, AND THAT MADE IT SO THAT MOD MANAGER NO LONGER WORK.
SIMPLY PUT, MOD MANAGER IS OUTDATED AND NOW DEFUNCT.
Ah, well that's kind of crappy... I understand the creator said he wants to move on but that's a crappy thing to do since all mods work off of this one mod. unfortunate
